Die Radeon R9 270X ist AMDs Grafikkarte für den Massenmarkt. Acht Partnerkarten und das Referenzmodell müssen sich im Hinblick auf Leistung und Kühlung im Test beweisen.

The graphics card landscape is constantly changing as AMD and Nvidia battle for increased market share. While the hot, steamy action always happens in the high end, the majority of sales for both companies are in the less exciting budget sector.
This 2GB board features a new cooler design, which uses a dual heat pipe system with a single aerofoil section fan assembly with dust repelling bearings for maximum efficiency and reliability.

In this review we will be looking at a new card from Gigabyte called the GV-R575SL-1GI. Unlike traditional video cards with heatsink and fan combo this Radeon HD5750 comes completely silent and passively cooled.

Nvidia’s GTX 760 has been out now for quite a while and we’ve seen a whole variety of models hit the market. At eTeknix we’ve only managed to review one GTX 760 so far and that was the rather epic KFA2 GTX 760 EX OC 2GB graphics card. Today we’ve got another enthusiast grade overclocked GTX 760 from Gigabyte. The GTX 760 WindForce OC 2GB graphics card we have here today is using Gigabyte’s WindForce 3X cooler capable of handling thermal loads of up to 450W. It uses a trio of 80mm fans to help keep this graphics card running cool and quiet.
Gigabyte have wasted no time in giving this GTX 760 a hefty dollop of extra performance as they have raised both the core clock and GPU boost clock. The core clock has been raised from 980MHz to 1085MHz while the boost clock has been increased from 1033MHz to 1150MHz. By my calculations that’s a 10.8% overclock on the GPU core clock and an 11.3% overclock on the GPU boost clock. The memory has been left untouched at the stock 1502MHz actual, 6008MHz effective speed. Right away then we should expect the WindForce GTX 760 OC graphics card to be around 10-15% faster than a reference GTX 760 meaning it will be much faster than the current Nvidia GTX 670 and maybe even GTX 680.

We talked at length about the NVIDIA-infused Titan supercomputer already, but we haven’t been able to talk about the GPUs that help make the magic happen. In this article, we’re doing just that. We’ll see what the Tesla K-series of “GPU Accelerators” bring to the table and are capable of, and also take a look at where CUDA usage stands today.

If you are in the market for a high end graphics solution then Sapphire surely have to be on your final shortlist. The company have been releasing award winning graphics cards consistently for the last year – featuring the best coolers that money can buy. Today we look at their very latest R9 290X Vapor-X OC featuring a custom designed three fan cooler and out of the box overclocked speeds. Is it worth the £500 asking price?

When it comes to AMD graphics cards XFX are one of the biggest vendors by far and are known for their loyalty to AMD. XFX have been a big player with AMD graphics cards since I can remember - which is probably around the early days of the HD 4000 series, though I am relatively young so some of you may remember their earlier cooperation with AMD. In terms of the HD 7000 series as of late the XFX style of graphics card is becoming more popular as XFX's competitive pricing and excellent warranty service is giving them the cutting edge over some other AMD AIB partners.
Today we have with us a relatively unique card because at the time of writing there is no XFX website listing or any retailers currently selling the specific card we have. We have with us an XFX FX7850 Double Dissipation 2GB card that uses a special dual 10cm fan cooling solution. The part number of this unit is "FX-785A-CEF V2.V" or "FX-785A-CE" for shortened reference. We are pretty sure that this card is an extension of XFX's budget "Ghost" series of HD 7850 coolers, as this information is on the products serial sticker, but the dual 10cm fans give it a more premium design that make it a bit more high end than the current XFX Ghost branded HD 7850s. While the card runs at stock clocks it does have a rather special feel to it that oozes from both the card and the bundle it comes with.

Today we'll take a first look at the flagship NVIDIA GPU of the current generation, the mighty GeForce Titan. The review will also include tests in a solid number of games, and a comparison with other top graphics adapters.

NVIDIA was the first to bring 3D Blu-ray (BD) via native HDMI 1.4 to the PC, coupled with HD audio bit stream support in the GTX 460, GTS 450 and GT 430 family of GPUs the home theater PC (HTPC) market has become much more interesting for the enthusiast. A few weeks back MissingRemote took a look at the GTS 450, and while it was a surprisingly good fit it is a little too much GPU for non-gamers. With 96 stream processors, a 128-bit memory bus and only 4 ROPs the GT 430’s hardware is unsuitable for more than casual gaming, but these limitations translate directly into lower power consumption and a format more suitable for use in a HTPC. There is a danger in removing too much hardware from the GPU, read on to find out if NVIDIA hits the HTPC sweet spot.
