The Radeon HD 6870, contrary to its somewhat confusing name, is not the successor to the Radeon 5870. Instead, it acts as an almost direct replacement for the Radeon 5850, both in terms of performance and in price. Today we are looking at the Asus variant which has some exclusive features including the Voltage Tweak functionality we have come to particularly enjoy when overclocking.

The aesthetics may be slightly different from what we expect from Kingston, but the under the hood of the HyperX Genesis 4GB 2133MHz DDR3 kit the performance is the same. Testing on a Sandy Bridge system showed that this kit has the ability to offer high speed performance with minimal effort thanks to the plug and play nature of XMP profiles.

I always seem to start these reviews by stating that the series of the card we're looking at is one of my favorite. It's not just some generic introduction and I really am a large fan of series' like the IceQ from HIS, Vapor-X from Sapphire, SOC from GIGABYTE and most of all, the MSI series including the Cyclone, HAWK and Lightning which we're looking at today.

Today we shall review a couple of graphics cards based on the Barts GPU: PowerColor HD6850 1GB GDDR5 and PowerColor PCS+ HD6870 1GB GDDR5. Both are custom products and one is factory-overclocked, too. These mid-end solutions compete with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 460 and GeForce GTS 450.

Using the multiple GPUs in a CrossFire or SLi system properly can make a big difference to your benchmarking scores. Now we are hearing something at KitGuru about new technology in this area.

The GeForce GT 440, an entry-level DirectX 11 video card, can come with two memory configurations: 512 MB GDDR5 running at 3.2 GHz (51.2 GB/s) or 1 GB DDR3 running at 1.8 GHz (28.8 GB/s), both costing exactly the same. So, which is the better option, a GeForce GT 440 with less but faster memory, or a GeForce GT 440 with more but slower memory? Check it out.

Today we are looking at Zotac’s take on the new Nvidia GTX560, a card which should NOT be confused with the GTX560 ‘Ti’. The Ti was released at the start of the year and is a higher end part targeting a slightly different market. Nvidia have released the latest GTX560 to fill a void in the mid range where AMD are currently very strong. This card is set to deliver the final death blow to the previous generation GTX460, which was one of the best cards Nvidia have ever released.

We’ve done the GTX 580, we’ve done the GTX 570, but what about the little old 560? Well today Zotac have sent over the GTX 560 TI Amp edition. Lets see how it performs when weighed up against its bigger brothers.

Recently, AMD have been pushing out their latest high-powered GPU's to very impressive results. However, at the same time they have been quietly sneaking out some smaller low-priced graphics cards. In fact this is one of the cheapest DirectX 11 graphics cards money can buy which on the face of it should be able to cope with multiple screen gaming all be it not the most intensive of media and gaming scenarios.
