Sapphire are GPU manufacturers at their heart, but they’ve been known to dip into other markets in the past few years; perhaps one of the most interesting ones being motherboards. Today I’m looking at their latest foray into the mobo game, the Sapphire Pureblack P67 Hydra. It’s got 4 PCIe ports, an onboard post and CPU temperature readout and some nice onboard power switches. Lets get investigating.

Kitguru has reviewed a handful of Z77 motherboards in previous weeks, and today we take a look at the new Pure Platinum Z77K from Sapphire. They face stiff competition in this sector from the likes of Asus, ASRock and MSI. But is the Pure Platinum Z77K worth a purchase?
Motherboards
Sapphire have been releasing a steady stream of products this year, and today we are looking at their latest motherboard, the Pure Platinum Z68 which targets the enthusiast Sandybridge audience. Can the Sapphire product offer enough to stand out in such a crowded marketplace?
Motherboards
We've looked at a lot of motherboards lately and the chances are if you're reading this, you know we're going to be looking at another one that carries with it the much loved Z68 chipset that launched a little back. The board we're looking at today comes from the team over at Sapphire and let's be honest, they've been a little hit and miss when it comes to motherboards. The original X58 we looked at from the company was great, the P67 on the other hand not so much. The A75 was awesome and showed us some amazing overclocking capabilities.

When we reviewed the other three Socket FM2 boards we almost had the feeling that we tested the same board three times in a row. This Sapphire Pure Platinum A85XT motherboard is also very similar to those three, but it has a couple of unique aspects. One is the presence of a Bluetooth controller and the second is the combined mini-PCIe/mSATA slot.

Sapphire add the FM2 socket to their range of Pure Platinum boards, but can it keep up with the competition?
Motherboards
Today we are going to look at Sapphire’s first attempt at a Lynx motherboard, the Pure Platinum A75. As it’s name suggests, this sports the top-end A75 FCH (Fusion Controller Hub) and, as a result, it boasts an impressive specification which includes an array of SATA 6G ports and USB3.0 support. Unlike the Asus motherboard we looked at, the Sapphire A75 makes use of the full-size ATX form factor, rather than Micro ATX.
Motherboards
Sapphire are a brand that we all know and love for producing some of the most extreme video cards on the market and push the boundaries in terms of cooling and performance. Marking a new chapter, Sapphire are keen to get into the motherboard market, but want to do so with a bang by offering boards with the most beneficial features, extreme technology and a good price point.
Motherboards
With the first Sapphire motherboard we looked at, we found ourselves really impressed with it. The X58 offering we tested performed well and offered great overclocking potential. When we got the P67 offering from them it was a good board as well, but in such a competitive market we found it just didn't really stand out from the competition. Today, though, we look at their latest offering and it comes in the form of the Sapphire Pure Platinum A75. And as you can tell, it's of course based on the latest AMD chipset, the A75, which holds the Lynx APU that we've quickly grown to love.
