The Prodigy is the first mini-ITX chassis Bitfenix has released, and right-away it's an attempt to offer something different than what's already out there. Bitfenix tried a different approach to the mini-ITX form factor, something we can only applaud in an otherwise conservative market. We also like the many different possibilities you get with the Prodigy, we can think of many different applications. The Bitfenix Prodigy has excellent build quality, lots of upgrade possibilities, many configuration options and a very reasonable price.

Today we are looking at the ASRock Fatal1ty X79 Champion – hot on the heels of our analysis of the X79 Extreme11. The Fatal1ty X79 Champion seems to be somewhat of a bargain when compared to the £500 X79 Extreme11 … as it only costs £330. This puts it up against Asus top-of-the range Rampage IV Extreme motherboard which is also designed with serious overclockers in mind.

The Z77 Extreme6 motherboard from ASRock is aimed at the middle range and features a clean PCB, and many features that we have seen at the more expensive variants; the mini-PCIe slot is very welcome (placed underneath the first PCI-Express x16 slot) for installation of an Wi-Fi card or extra SSD. ASRock did also include the well-known Frontal USB 3.0 bay, which is a 2-in-1 device since it can house an extra 2.5’’ HDD or SSD (necessary screws are also provided).
