Today we are going to look at the Aerocool Strike-X Air which is a very innovative chassis, designed to appeal to those enthusiasts who spend a lot of time inside their PC and change hardware frequently. It uses an open design, similar to a test bench, which features a large mesh cover to hide the components .
But as the push for more threaded (or we should say, better threaded) applications grow, the single core Atom was and is quickly being pushed out. At the beginning of this year (2010) Intel released their first dual core Atom CPUs. These were not just a pair of cores dropped into the CPU, though. Intel also dropped in Hyper Threading to allow for better multi-threaded performance. The new Atoms also finally received the x64 instructions and have had a GPU tacked on (although to some, this is not a good thing).
Today we are going to take a look at the ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ motherboard which is their flagship FM2+ model. We recently looked at a Gigabyte’s flagship FM2+ motherboard – the G1 Sniper A88x and we were very impressed with the overall package.
If you are still relatively young -- and by young, I mean in your late teens to early 20s -- then you should still be somewhat steamed out from "finals" week that just occurred recently (Some of us not even a day ago from when I wrote this). Well, unfortunately, yes. I am quite sure many of us have found ourselves in this position as well. And now that I think about it, Christmas Day is no more than 54 hours away, and I have yet to begin my shopping. Oh, but of course, the Gigabyte motherboard review comes first! If I had a moment's time to breathe, I would simply go through all the amazing technological developments of 2011.
