When I tested the GIGABYTE E350N-USB3 in February I was really impressed with what GIGABYTE and AMD were able to do with the E-350 based Fusion platform. One thing really bugged me about the board, though. The fact that it used active cooling was quite a disappointment, because it just felt like it didn't need it.
One of the first motherboards we received after the Sandy Bridge launch the Gigabyte P67A-UD7 and we almost instantly fell in love with the board. Sadly were we unable to get the review posted before the worldwide chipset recall but we did spend a considerable amount of time tweaking and tuning the board and even posted some very impressive numbers for the HWBot team.

Lorsque l'on ajoute à ces faits, l'attribution exclusive et plutôt discutable des IGP les plus rapides (HD 3000) aux seuls modèles "K", on se rend bien compte de l'incohérence de cette gamme de chipsets. Intel lance à présent le Z68 Express qui cumule les avantages de ses deux prédécesseurs et apporte quelques petits plus logiciels. Each will be put through a selection of synthetic and real world tests to establish how they perform in a variety of scenarios which will assist anyone thinking about buying a socket 1155 product in the near future.
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro supposedly fits between P8Z68-V and P8Z68 Deluxe. The "Pro" suffix hints at the mid-end or even entry-level nature. But despite that ASUS P8Z68-V Pro offers four USB 3.0 ports, four SATA-600 ports, Bluetooth, and supports SLI/CrossFire/Virtu. What else could you wish for?
As we already know, Bulldozer is what everyone is waiting for, but on the way saw a couple of stop gaps for AMD Fusion, the first being Brazos which gave us a low-powered APU that combined the best of both CPU and GPU and still to this date, we believe is perfect for HTPC or server usage. In fact, we believe that so much that we have the Asus E35M1-M Pro powering our server, whilst the Gigabyte E350N-USB3 sits comfortably in our HTPC so we certainly found a use for them.

Even though the Intel Z68 chipset is out there, motherboards based on the Intel P67 continue to be attractive options for systems based on Intel socket 1155 CPUs. In fact, according to ASUS, the sales of P67-based motherboards are still outperforming those of Z68-based products. ASUS offers a wide range of motherboards based on this chipset, and today we are going to take a look at the P8P67 PRO model, which is a top mid-range model (or entry high-end model, depending on your point of view).
The G1-Killer Sniper 2 is a Z68 based motherboard that has been designed specifically for hardcore gaming. In a world where gaming and enthusiast systems have been combined we find this to be a rather bold product decision.
Asus have always been a top contender when it comes to motherboards, having a good grip onto most market segments. This obviously includes the enthusiast and extreme market and they have a separate division of the company to deal with it called ROG or Republic of Gamers.
