Today we are going to look at a motherboard from the other end of the ASRock range, the Z68M-ITX/HT motherboard, which occupies the increasingly popular Mini-ITX form factor. This makes it ideal for use in environments where space is restricted, mainly in small form factor and home theatre PC systems.

Gigabyte’s lineup of Intel X79 or Sandy Bridge-E motherboards is only made up of four boards. For gamers there is the G1 Assassin 2, X79-UD7-OC for overclockers, and X79-UD5 for enthusiasts. This brings us to the X79-UD3 which is Gigabyte’s entry-level and least expensive Intel X79 motherboard coming it at $249. Sandy Bridge-E is Intel’s high-end platform and the X79 chipset is much improved over its P67/Z68 counterparts. You now have 40 PCI-Express 3.0 lanes and quad-channel memory. That means with this board you can easily throw in up to 32GB of DDR3 and run 4-way Crossfire or SLI right out of the box. Also this is the first time we will see Gigabyte’s 3D BIOS. Read on as we inspect the X79-UD3 Motherboard.

With X79 still a strong contender, we see if the X79A-GD65 can keep up from MSI.

The Intel Z77 Express chipset is now out in the wild! To celebrate we are going to be looking at two Intel Z77 motherboards from GIGABYTE. The GA-Z77X-UD5 WiFi and the GA-Z77X-UD3H will be given an in-depth look in this review. How will they do against another Intel Z77 and Z68 motherboard? Read on to find out as we put these boards and the new chipset to the test with a Sandy Bridge processor!
The Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB WiFi is unique in the sense that it includes a PCIe expansion card that offers Bluetooth 4.0 and IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. This board is obviously aimed at those with mobile devices like the Applie iPhone 4S that already support Bluetooth 4.0 for quick wireless data transfers. This board also features a 12 phase power VRM design that is cooled by a passive cooler that is interlinked with a heatpipe. We also like that the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB WiFi has two LAN ports and that one of them uses an Intel GbE LAN chip. We've had good luck with Intel controllers and not all boards use them...

Today, we are able to retire our Intel Core i7 2600K processor from our motherboard test bench! Intel has officially launched the Intel 22nm 'Ivy Bridge' series of processors! Nate will be taking an in-depth look at the Intel Core i7 3770K 22nm processor architecture and performance which you can find here. We will be looking at the performance of four different Intel Z77 motherboards with an Intel Core i7 3770K 22nm 'Ivy Bridge' processor...

I've sometimes thought that Intel tries too hard with its enthusiast level motherboards. The Extreme series, which is what Intel seeds reviewers with when new CPUs are introduced, tend to "shout" with prominent skull logos, POST code readouts, POST sequence LEDs, and other bling, but in my experience they fall down badly on features and performance. So you can understand that I wasn't expecting too much from the DZ77GA-70K motherboard. But I was in for a surprise.

It's time for a new Intel chipset: the Z77 Express chipset replaces last year's Z68 chipset and its predecessor P67 chipset. Aside from the support for what MSI calls "third generation Intel Core processors", the Z77 brings some enhanced features like native SuperSpeed USB 3.0. MSI's not satisfied with letting the Z77 stand on its own, though, and adds its own unique features to their MSI Z77A-GD65 board. Benchmark Reviews tests this new motherboard and compares its performance and features against a top-end Z68 motherboard. Is an upgrade for your rig warranted? Read on...

At the beginning of May we reviewed the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H which delivered great performance at a modest price point around £160. Today we are looking at the budget GA-Z77-D3H which retails in the UK for only £80.
At half the price is this useless for the overclockers on a tight budget, or can it be pushed past 4ghz? What about 4.5ghz? We partner the board up with a Core i7 3770k and a Thermaltake Frio Extreme cooler.
