Unsere “Haswell”-Reviewreihe, im Zuge der wir bereits zwei Platinen von ASRock getestet haben, möchten wir heute mit dem Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H fortsetzen.
Wie der Name es verrät basiert das Mainboard auf Intels Z87 Chipsatz. Weitere Ausstattungsmerkmale sind u.a. 8 SATA3 Ports, 10 USB3 Anschlüsse (4 per Frontheader) und 3 PEG Slots. Das interessanteste Merkmal der Platine ist jedoch die Ultra Durable 5 Plus Unterstützung.
In questo articolo analizziamo la prima motherboard giunta in laboratorio dotata del nuovo socket LGA 1150, compatibile quindi con i nuovi processori della serie Haswell. Si tratta della GA-Z87X-UD3H, dedicata alle nuove CPU Core i7 di quarta generazione e caratterizzata dalla tecnologia Ultra Durable 5 Plus. La tecnologia Ultra Durable 5 era stata introdotta con la precedente generazione di schede madri Z77X-UP, di cui avevamo analizzato il modello UP4. A parte la componentistica simile, ci sono ovviamente importanti novità in questa scheda madre, che scopriremo insieme in questa recensione.

We have nothing against expensive motherboards, to the contrary, but we don't like paying for things we're not going to use. The MSI Z87 XPower is clearly aimed at extreme overclockers using extreme forms of cooling such as liquid nitrogen. So why should they be forced to pay for features they likely won't use for overclocking, such as 10 SATA600 ports, 10x USB 3.0, a KillerNic card, WLAN, Creative audio drivers and so on. None of these have any influence on 3DMark overclocking scores, but they definitely have an influence on the price.
Overall I was happy with the performance and user experience with the ECS Gank Machine Z87H3-A2X Extreme motherboard. Right now you can pick up the ECS Z87H3-A2X Extreme for as little as $239.99 which certainly isn't the highest cost motherboard to come across the Legit Reviews bench, nor is it the lowest cost. Overall I didn't have any issues with the ECS Z87H3-A2X Extreme Z87 motherboard at the settings we used for testing today. It wasn't until I started working on the overclocking that it got a little tricky...
