AMD is releasing today a new chipset with integrated graphics, AMD 890GX, and ECS has announced three socket AM3 motherboard models based on it. We are going to take a look on A890GXM-A, which belongs to ECS' Black Series, featuring three PCI Express x16 slots and SATA-600 ports (but not USB 3.0 ports).
The support for the new interfaces will be attractive for those who upgrade rarely. The Socket AM3 platform is a good choice for rare upgrades, by the way, because there will be at least one more processor family for it that will include hexacore solutions.

It's been a while since I have last reviewed an Asus motherboard. It's also been a while... actually, I am not going to lie, haha -- I've never reviewed two motherboards consecutively on APH Networks before. Because of my relatively intense workload in my second year of Electrical Engineering, especially compared to what I have done in the past during high school, it is often very challenging to maintain decent academic performance while working with a demanding review schedule.
