Perhaps a not very well known company in the US, Jetway brings interesting budget products to the market. Having released many motherboard in the past Jetway takes on a new challenge in Intel's X58 chipset. For review here we have Jetway Kuroshio BI-600, sometimes known as JBI-600-LF.
As DDR3 pokes its ugly expensive head into the AMD world. Jetway decided to make the transition from AM2 to AM3 as pleasant as possible. The MA3-79GDG Combo Motherboard gives you the ability to use the cheaper DDR2 variant or more expensive DDR3 with the latest AM2+ and AM3 processors. This includes the new Phenom II X4 chips, which we will be testing this board with today.
Jetway is well know for their Mini-ITX motherboards. Based on the Intel Atom is this a perfect base for a small energy saving and environmental friendly HTPC or Home server system. Jetway provided us a D525 CPU and GT218 gpu motherboard and we will take it through a series of multimedia tests. Already served well in a previous review for Home Server we will only focus on the HTPC part.
This particular board comes with an Intel Atom 330 dual-core 1.6GHz processor, has 2 DDR2 slots supporting upto 8GB of DDR2 memory modules of speeds upto 800MHz. It uses the Nvidia ION chipsetand has integrated graphics that supports DirectX10. This board also has integrated HD sound and Gigabit Lan.
AMD Fusion has been something that a lot of the staff at eTeknix have been raving on about, as it shows what the future is to hold in a very small form factor. We've already looked at two Fusion boards in the past which gave fantastic results and fit the market they are suited for very well.

Es ist mittlerweile in zwei Varianten erhältlich: Das Jetway NC92-230-LF besitzt den Intel Atom 230 mit 1x 1,6 GHz, wohingegen das NC92-330-LF mit der Zweikern-CPU Intel Atom 330 (2x 1,6 GHz) daher kommt. Außerdem steht das NC92 intern in Konkurrenz zum NC91, welches auch auf Intel Atom 230 oder Intel Atom 330 basiert, aber eine wesentlich einfachere Ausstattung bietet. For quite some time, Intel has been unopposed in the low budget computing department. From the first underclocked Intel Celeron powered Eee PC, to the latest generation of Intel Atom based computers, this whole sector of the market has been dominated by Intel. The major competitors have tried to get a share of the market before with VIA's Nano and AMD's Athlon Neo, but both have failed in this perilous quest. Most of the problems with these two processors were their availability, interest from consumers and manufacturers, and, for the latter part, power draw and heat. With these processors, the incumbent was basically unmoved and still left with the majority of this market sector. Despite these setbacks, AMD had tried yet again to break into this market. Today, we have one of the first few Brazos based motherboards from Jetway. Jetway is known mostly for their commercial and industrial products, but since the Mini-ITX fad, more and more users are taking a serious look at Jetway. Well today, we managed to get our hands on the Jetway NF81-T56N-LF -- which has an AMD Fusion processor with built-in graphics. It is similar to that of the Intel Atom D525, but they provide an integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310 instead. The processor itself is the AMD eOntario T56N, which is said to perform similar or better in comparison with the Intel Atom D525, and it isn't even the top of the line in the Brazos line of CPUs. So without further adieu, let's take a look at how well the AMD Brazos based Jetway NF81-T56N-LF performs against the well established duo of Intel Atom and NVIDIA's ION 2.

In the past we have looked at a mini-ITX motherboard branded in the shape of the Jetway NC63-330-LF using an Intel Atom N330 Dual-Core 1.6GHz processor but as times change, so does the technology and the features used. This is where we introduce the Jetway NF96FL-510-LF with its improved processor (which is loosely based on the Atom 330), different chipset and improved features.
