Though they have been around since 1985, I have never owned any Patriot Memory products before now. My memory purchases have been from the “household name” companies, as have most of yours. I always enjoy reviewing products from brands I have never owned before, and was delighted when I was asked to review a Patriot memory kit. Today I will be looking Patriot’s Viper Series DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24 triple channel memory kit. It is designed for the i7, and supports Intel XMP. Of course it does all of this at the i7’s required Vdimm of 1.65v. Will the Patriot memory kit do us proud? Read on to see!

This particular set of triple channel memory comes with finn style blue heatspreaders. It operates at a speed of 1600MHz with very low, tight timings and a voltage of 1.65. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Besides those branded memory makers, Patriot is another popular memory brand which was established in 1985. Most of the Patriot's products are quite similar with other memory makers where they have value memory modules, extreme performance modules, flash drive, SSD, memory card and etc. Today we will take a look on their Extreme Performance Enhanced Latency PC2 8500 memory modules.

Patriot sent over a Viper DDR3 kit of RAM for the new Z87 platform. We see just what it's capable of today when put to the test.

In the need for some more memory bandwidth? Overclocking like a madman but running out of overhead with your DDR? Patriot thinks they have the answer with their Viper II Sector 5 2000MHz kit. This kit is designed to give you some room to squeeze every ounce of performance from your system. We take a look at it to see if it does just that!

A fact that many computer users overlook is that the ram in their system plays a critical role in both the stability and performance. It is important not only to have enough ram but also that your ram is good quality and fast. Join us as we test the speed and performance of the Patriot Viper's DDR3 1600 ram kit.

When it comes to long names the Patriot Viper Extreme Division 2 series dual channel memory kit, pull no punches. There is a lot of power in a name, and this dual channel (division 2) kit of RAM from Patriot, an Extreme version of their Viper lineup, should have lots of power. The memory kit is normally a dual channel affair, but with 2 kits on hand popping them into an X79 system for testing seemed like more fun.

Earlier this year we took a look at our first Viper 4 DDR4 memory kit from Patriot. That kit was a quad-channel kit designed for the X99 platform. Now that Intel’s Z170 chipset is here we have dual-channel DDR4 which we’ve seen to be more stable at higher frequencies. Patriot has sent us one of their latest Viper 4 DDR4 kits which is an 8GB dual-channel kit that runs at 3400 MHz! With official timings of 16-18-18-36 at 1.35V the PV48G340C6K kit is set to perform quite well on Z170 systems. On top of the fast speeds the memory kit features a custom-designed heatspreader that is black and red that will match many popular motherboards out there. Let’s get this memory installed and see what it can do!

When choosing a memory kit to run in your computer, you shouldn’t take that choice lightly. Your RAM is basically the backbone of your system that enables everything to run buttery smooth. Should you decide to go with a smaller RAM kit, such as 4GB, you may not be able to keep too many programs running at the same time. If you choose you want something larger, like the Patriot Viper 32GB kit that we are going to be looking at in this review, then you have the freedom to run virtually all the programs you could want at the same time!
