Patriot ha da poco presentato le nuovissime Viper 3 Low Profile che si vanno ad affiancare alle già premiate e riconosciute Patriot Viper 3. Il modello Low Profile è stato progettato per andare incontro agli utenti che possiedono sistemi di dissipazione ad aria ingombranti e non possono quindi installare memorie caratterizzate da un’altezza troppo elevata. Patriot ha voluto quindi dedicare una linea per compensare a queste incompatibilità e garantire le stesse prestazioni, sia a default, sia in overclock, riscosse con gli altri modelli della serie Viper. Oggi andremo a recensire il modello PVL38G213C1K, un kit composto da 2 banchi da 4GB ciascuno con una frequenza base di 2133Mhz e con heatsink nero. Ricordiamo che le Viper Low Profile sono disponibili in vari tagli e frequenze e con le colorazioni nero, blu e rosso in modo da garantire ampia personalizzazione all’utente finale.
A few months ago I took a look at a Limited Edition kit from Patriot which was built specifically for the Intel Extreme Masters championships, andall in all, I was very impressed with what the kit had to offer, both in terms of styling, but more so on the performance side, with its bandwidth the opened right up with only the slightest of overclocks. The Viper kit that I’m looking at today is pretty much the same as the IEM kit that I saw previously, the only difference being its capacity and colour. Hopefully the increase in capacity, still allows for a large a mount of bandwidth to be opened up with only a slight overclock like previously seen.

With official timings of 16-18-18-36 at 1.35V the PV48G340C6K kit is set to perform quite well on Z170 systems.
