The EP3001A modules have a speed of DDR3-1333 MHz with CL9 timings, and a tRAS-value of
24. The CRT-timing can be adjusted to 1T, which gives you extra performance. Exceleram have chosen to spare the heatsinks, to minimize the price. The overclocking potential is big, and by loosening the timings, it is possible to hit speeds over DDR3-2000 MHz. We compare the modules in various benchmark tests against kits from both Exceleram and Kingston.

Our review today is going to examine a 4GB kit of Patriot Viper Extreme Division 2 memory. This kit is rated at DDR3-1600 (or 800MHz) at timings of 8-9-8-24 with 1.65v. Based on the quick specifications, it is clear that this low-latency kit is designed for extreme performance.

At the latest CeBIT 2011, GSkill announced their new Gamer Orientated Sniper series. Sporting a heatspreader that looks like a firearm. Coincidence or not, Gigabyte chose a sortlike military makeover for their new X58 G1 series motherboards. Even though main focus lately is on socket 1155, it is nice to see some new products too for the aging socket 1366. Todays reviewed kit is Gskills high end and high capacity 1600Mhz CL7 12GBkit. Consisting out of a triple 4GB dimm kit. Rated to run at a nice C7-8-7-24 SPD timings.

Memory is very much of a muchness, wit the overall style the same and it all does the same job. Of course it's up to the memory manufacturer if they want to make things stand out and look a bit prettier than the competition and that's exactly what Kingston have done with the HyperX Genesis series RAM with its silver heatspreaders that is bound to go with pretty much any system colour scheme you have.

When it comes to the Corsair line of memory, the Dominator GT series would have to be one of the most stand out brands from the company with a representation of power and performance. The latest kit to come out from the flagship stable brings with it a default voltage of 1.5v.
Memory
The system's RAM (Random Access Memory) prevents the PC from achieving its maximum capable performance. This occurs because the processor (CPU) is faster than the RAM, and usually it has to wait for the RAM to deliver data. During this wait time the CPU is idle, doing nothing (that's not entirely true, but it fits our explanation). In a perfect computer, the RAM would be as fast as the CPU. Dual-, triple-, and quad-channel are techniques used to double, triple, or quadruple the communication speed between the memory controller and the RAM, thus increasing the system performance. In this tutorial, we will explain everything you need to know about these technologies: how they work, how to set them up, how to calculate transfer speeds, and more.

Designed for low profile and SFF systems, this Corsair Vengeance LP RAM is ideal for any scenario where module height is a concern. This Special Edition kit runs at a low 1.35V, decreasing power consumption and heat output. Find out how much power draw is saved and whether this RAM provides any additional overclocking headroom in our review!

The introduction of Intel's X79 chipset with its quad-channel memory controller coincides nicely with historic lows in memory prices. Corsair's recently introduced "Vengeance" line of peripherals includes products as diverse as headphones, mice, and even memory. Representing a lower-cost alternative to their "Dominator" memory line, Vengeance memory is offered with both high and low profile heat spreaders and several different speeds and timings. Benchmark Reviews tests the 1600MHz C8 16GB quad-channel low profile Vengeance kit against an assortment of other memory in this test.
