We look at our fastest out of the box memory kit yet, the 2800MHz DDR HyperX kit from Kingston.

With the release of P67 has come a massive amount of memory to look at, and as I was sitting here testing a bunch of 2133MHz DDR 4GB kits, I was thinking to myself; I wonder if we could get two kits of something and have 8GB of memory running at 2133MHz DDR. I knew it would have to come in the form of four modules, as there are simply no 4GB modules that carry 2133MHz rated speeds.

If you’ve been involved with computers for a while you’d know that all ram is not created equal. If you consider yourself an enthusiast you owe it to yourself to use good quality ram from a reputable company. Kingston is one such company and their Hyper X line is the epitome of enthusiast performance and quality. Even if you aren't an enthusiast though your system can surely benefit from high performance ram with great timings and fast speeds as virtually everything is dependant on it in one way or another. Today for review I’ve got a 4gb set of Kingston Hyper X X2 Grey Series DDR3 ram and from my testing it’s not bad at all.

Memory is very much of a muchness, wit the overall style the same and it all does the same job. Of course it's up to the memory manufacturer if they want to make things stand out and look a bit prettier than the competition and that's exactly what Kingston have done with the HyperX Genesis series RAM with its silver heatspreaders that is bound to go with pretty much any system colour scheme you have.

Kingston have stuck with the same design on their packaging for quite some time now, giving you a clear view of the memory and the security sticker detailing the model number, size, speed and cas latency.

We are looking at the Kingston KVR-16R11S4/8HA ValueRAM server memory kit and seeing just what it is capable of. Let's find out what William thinks now.

Kingston are quite well known for their tendency to release limited edition products that are branded to celebrate certain events or partnerships and the NaVi series RAM kits we have here today are no different. These NaVi series RAM kits are essentially Kingston Hyper X kits branded yellow to celebrate Kingston’s collaboration with the eSports Club Natus Vincere aka NaVi. Kingston says it is aiming these RAM kits at gamers and enthusiasts though I can see the appeal will most definitely be with gamers more than enthusiasts. That is because these kits only come with a 1600MHz speed in either 8GB or 16GB dual channel kits. They do of course come with the backing of Kingston’s quality standards and a lifetime warranty to support that. Part of the NaVi limited edition series also includes the NaVi Hyper X 3K series SSD which will essentially be normal Hyper X 3K 120/240GB SSDs rebranded in the yellow NaVi pattern.

At the latest MSI MOA Benelux qualifier we were allowed to play with MSI's Xpower board, some 980X ES CPUs and some pretty high specced Kingston rams. The 2250Mhz CL9 triple channel kit seemed very interesting for a spin in the Madshrimps Lab. Could these blue beauties come close to the almighty Corsair Hyper IC based GTX2s ? What's the use for such a high MHz kit for a daily user ? Is this kit Bloomfield friendly ? A lot of questions warped through my brain. Time to open the box and find some answers
