In one of my last memory reviews, I made a note of how rare it is that I get to look at some Limited Edition memory. Low and behold I get to CES and I get news of a new Limited Edition kit design and that one will be making its way to be imminently. Not a bad start to 2013 then, not even a month in and now I've looked at two Limited Edition kits, time for some humble pie I guess.

Today Lauren takes a look at the Kingston HyperX 10 Year Anniversary Edition 2400MHz 16GB Quad Kit (KHX24C11X3K4/16X)
Memory
Compared to well over a decade ago when we just had but a few memory chip manufacturers nowadays more and more brands keep emerging most of which just rebrand memory chips from the leading manufacturers in the field and ship them to the market as their own (oldest trick in the book). Kingston was one of the very first memory chip manufacturers i got to know pretty well during the 90's right next to Intel, Viking, GoldStar (LG now) and Nanya so after using their products for roughly 2 decades i know exactly what to expect in terms of quality, performance and after sales support. However although they've been making memory kits for over 2 decades it wasn't until 10 years ago that they introduced their HyperX line of products aimed specifically towards enthusiasts and hardcore gamers. So today we are going to be testing the HyperX 16GB DDR3 2400MHz CL11 quad channel memory kit (KHX24C11X3K4/16X) which was designed specifically to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their HyperX product line.

Kingston is celebrating 10 years of HyperX. Can you believe that HyperX has been around that long? It makes me feel pretty old! HyperX is of course Kingston’s high performance memory line. Recently they have added the HyperX name to other high performance products like their solid state drives and flash drives. To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of HyperX Kingston has released their 10th Anniversary HyperX Memory Kits. The modules feature an extremely attractive heatspreader, high frequencies, XMP profiles and the heatspreaders are not that large so they will not get in the way of your CPU cooler. Today we are looking at the KHX24C11X3K4/16X kit which is a 16GB kit (4x 4GB) that operates at 2400MHz with timings of 11-13-13 at 1.65V.

To celebrate its decade of excellence, Kingston has introduced the Kingston HyperX Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Series. This line of DDR3 modules comes in capacities of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB with frequencies ranging from 1600MHz–2400MHz. Like all other HyperX modules these chips can be overclocked with stable voltages from 1.35V-1.65V. These memory sticks are designed to work with P55, H67, P67, Z68, H61 (AG), X79 and Z77 Intel and A75, A87, A88, A89, A78, and E35 (Fusion) AMD chipsets.

Kingston one of the premier names in memory business has released the HyperX 1600MHz 12GB Triple Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3K6/12G). This set is designed for those using an X58 LGA 1366 motherboard in conjunction with the Core i7 series. The kit is composed of six 2GB sticks of DDR3 memory designed to operate at 1600 MHz.
Memory
The introduction of Intel's i7 platform coincided largely with the release of DDR3 memory bringing with it the prospect of triple channel setups. As a result, many memory kits have been produced specifically for the X58 motherboard generally of the order of 6GB (3 x 2GB). Typically, 1066MHz or 1333MHz DRAM has been used by the average users with higher frequencies seemingly classed as more “enthusiast” memory.
Memory
Intel’s X79 platform has transformed the high end enthusiast market, with performance levels outside anything that AMD can currently challenge. We have reviewed several memory kits in recent months but today we are looking at the latest HyperX 2400mhz memory 8GB kit from Kingston.
Memory
With a cost around $200 - $250 USD the Kingston KHX16000D3K3/3GX memory certainly doesn't come cheap. However, an extra edge in performance is what every diehard PC Enthusiast wants, and these modules unquestionably deliver. These Kingston memory modules are the fastest speed currently available on the market.
