Samsung has been making quality PC hardware and accessories for many years, but today we're taking a look at their 30nm 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory kit which is known to many enthusiasts as some of the best overclocking RAM for it's price. We plan to see not only how well it performs at it's stock settings, but also if it really lives up to it's overclocking name! Read on to see what our test results show!

In this review we've tested and reviewed this kit of ram

While not a name you expect to hear in the RAM arena, we look at a kit of memory from the folks over at VisionTek.

We have already taken a look at G.Skill’s RipjawsZ and RipjawsX memory now it is time for their ARES series of memory. The ARES memory is designed to be low-profile so you can use it with larger aftermarket CPU coolers. Today we are taking a look at the 16GB kit of the ARES memory, specifically the F3-2133C11Q-16GAO kit. This kit runs at 2133MHz with timings of 11-11-11-30 at 1.6V. You can get these kits with both blue or orange heatspreaders. Read on as we take this memory through the paces.

We have looked at quite a few memory kits already this year but today we have something very special in our labs. The latest Samsung Eco ‘Green’ DDR3 built on the 30nm manufacturing process. This memory is true low profile and only demands 1.35 volts. The potential therefore for achieving a good overclock should be strong.

We take a look at the new 8GB 1600MHz 30nm kit from Samsung that is said to be untouchable.

As expected the recent introduction of the very good (yet mainstream) Z77 based solutions and CPUs by Intel really changed nothing in the market (in terms of performance) and so X79 based solutions are still at the top of the food chain (although far from perfect). Now as most of you know we upgraded our main test rig to the LGA2011 (X79) with a brand new 2nd generation Intel Core i7 3930k and so because of that we will be focused on Quad Channel memory kits in 2012 (perhaps in 2013 as well if nothing better comes along). Today with us we have one such kit and more specifically the latest Ballistix Elite 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (BLE4KIT4G3D1608DE1TX0) by Crucial.

Patriot offers a new kit of RAM for the Intel Z77 platform. We see how the Viper Xtreme series is looking these days.

Crucial’s line of Ballistix memory made for enthusiasts has gone through many different revisions over the years. Now they are running with 3 different types of modules, Ballistix Sport, Ballistix Tactical and Ballistix Elite. Today we are taking a look at one of their Elite kits. These kits are designed for extreme enthusiasts, demanding gamers, and uber-power users. The kit we are checking out today is a quad channel 16GB kit with timings of 8-8-8-24 at 1.5v. This kit also has some of the largest heatspreaders we have seen in a while! Read on as we test this kit out!
