It seems like Creative is following the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mantra for their latest Tactic 3D lineup of gaming headsets. For a company with a name that literally implies innovation, this comes across as a little strange for me. In fact, the headsets in the Tactic 3D lineup look so similar that when Creative sent me the Tactic 3D Rage to review I had to double check the box to make...

With over a decade of experience in computer audio, Diamond is no stranger to PC sound cards and we come into this review with hopes for a positive impression of the Xtreme Sound 7.1 XS71HDU. Since just about every computer has USB ports, a USB sound card, unlike an internal desktop sound card, is useful to laptop owners and all-in-one computer owners or even people who want to share this device across different systems. The XS71HDU is the newest entrant in Diamond’s lineup of Xtreme Sound cards which includes an older USB card also called Xtreme Sound 7.1, but different model name...

Today we are going to look at the latest product from Thermaltake’s sub-brand, Tt eSPORTS, the Shock gaming headset. This model is designed specifically with PC gamers in mind although the 3.5 mm interface means it’s compatible with most devices. It is designed for those who find the Shock One a little expensive and are looking for a cheaper alternative which doesn’t boast such a wealth of features.

As phones, laptops, and other mobile devices continue to get smaller and smaller we have to compromise in some areas. A great example of this is overall sound quality. When was the last time you were shopping for an ultrabook and even considered what sound card was installed in it. I know when I picked up mine I didn’t give it any thought. Creative Labs recognized this and today is introducing two new mobile Sound Blaster products called the E1 and the E3. Today I have the chance to take a closer look at the E1 and see what it is all about.

Dann sollte ein neues Soundsystem her!

Luckily it seems like Razer is catching onto the fact that there is such a void in the market and have introduced the Razer Hammerhead along with the Hammerhead Pro – the only difference between the two is that the Hammerhead Pro comes with an inline microphone and play/pause/call/stop/etc. button while the Hammerhead standard doesn’t. Today though we’ll be reviewing the Hammerhead Pro...
