We reviewed a prototype version of the Alienvibes EP02 noise cancelling headphones back in October of 2012. We are happy to report that we will be revisiting the same headphones in their retail form in this review. Let's see if Ineo Technology adjusted their design of these headphones at all based on our previous feedback.

Bluetooth audio streaming devices are a common sight amongst many homes and even in cars where stereos handle hands free connections through the technology. Now in its fourth version, the capabilities and quality of Bluetooth has improved drastically and rather than the somewhat grainy on poor quality audio that we used to experience, the standards have improved drastically with high quality audio now the standard and connectivity much easier.
More recently there has been a newer technology being incorporated in to the likes of mobile phones, making wireless streaming, sharing and connections so much easier than before. NFC or Near-Field-Communications is a wireless standard that allows mobile phones to establish connections with other NFC enabled devices, simply by bringing it within close proximity of the device (around a few centimetres depending on the device). NFC itself is not used to stream audio to the StreamPort as it has a very low transmission range and its top speed is 424kbps. The integration of NFC is more to make the task of connecting a mobile device to the StreamPort much more simplified and quick with the process done purely by sitting the NFC enabled phone on top of the StreamPort to establish the Bluetooth connection without any further interaction required.
We’ve taken a look at one of Bayan Audio’s products before, namely the Bayan 7 iPod Speaker Dock and it won us over with its great looks and great audio that had definition and clarity right through the range, which for us at eTeknix is a key factor – we love clear sound. I’m not a massive audiophile, however I like my sound to be good with definition clarity and volume at both the high and low ends of the scale. These factors may not play the same major part in a product of this nature as it does not reproduce the audio itself, leaving that to a third party system, but more importantly decoding the audio signal that it receives over Bluetooth to give a good source feed to the playback system.

Today on our test bench we will be taking a look at a set of Bluetooth wireless headphones from Noontec. Noontec have primarily been developing products for the home entertainment market and have a range of home media players as well as several accessories for the Android mobile platform. Now though they have moved into the personal audio space with a number of new products and today we will be looking at the Zoro Fashion Hi-Fi headphone which is a Bluetooth wireless headset.

We got an early look at an upcoming gaming headset from Cooler Master that blends an array of aesthetics and sound design into the same package. The Pulse-R headset features aluminum materials, illuminated earcups, cushioned full-sized cups for comfort and isolation, an in-line remote, and detachable microphone. Find out if it’s style and substance done right!

Currently in the market there are countless headset models available from a large number of manufacturers and in several different configurations from plain stereo ones and virtual surround ones (again based on dual drivers) all the way up to real 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound ones that feature up to 8 drivers (4 in each earcup) for the best possible positioning audio both in movies and games. Of course much like most things (especially electronic devices) each model type has a different focus group/audience and so although stereo ones are extremely popular amongst audiophiles, DJ's and professionals in general virtual and real surround sound ones are mostly welcomed by casual and hardcore gamers around the world. However there are also stereo gaming headsets our there for people who belong to neither one of the mentioned groups and just want a cost-effective headset to casually play games and listen to music a job which just might be the right one for the ONDA ST stereo gaming headset by OZONE.

Today we will be taking a look at one of the hottest headsets on the market and while the Siberia V2 isn’t exactly new, it’s still one of the top choices for gamers around the world and put simply, we wanted to find out why.
The Siberia V2 is priced all over the place, you can pick up some editions cheap at £40 and some closer to £100 and this all seems to do with the rarity of the model in questions, they all have the same feature set but the combination of colours and designs seems to have the biggest effect as Steelseries have released a huge range of limited editions, special editions and more to suit almost every style you can think of. The set we are looking today sits nicely in the middle and you can pick up the red pair for around £60 from most major online retailers and that to my mind makes these reasonably friendly to the wallet but they’re still not drastically cheap either, so I would still expect to see some impressive performance in return for my investment.
As you can see from the specs below the headset is powered by 3.5mm jacks, featuring a long cable and some fairly decent drivers, so let’s get straight to the good stuff and see just what this headset really has to offer.

Today we take a look at a brand that is somewhat new to us here at eTeknix. While yes we have heard of Attitude One, we’ve even seen their products at various trade shows and online, but we’ve never had the chance to get hands on with their products and try them for our selves and the Tunguska Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound Headset is hopefully just the first product of their range that we will be taking a look at.
I’ve heard good things about A1 from industry types and general consumers too, this got our attention and it’s great to see a new name in the office. While I can’t say I’m bored with the offerings from the other big names in the industry, it certainly never hurts to have more options available to you, especially from a consumer perspective.
As always, we will be looking for a good level of design, build quality, performance and value from this headset and with a price tag of around £60the Tunguska are certainly set to be competitive and if the performance matches the feature list, then we could in for a real treat here, so let’s get straight to the good stuff and see just what this headset has to offer.

The Noontec Zoro HD features several improvements on the previous Zoro model. The company have tweaked the sound characteristics, hopefully offering higher-quality bass and the addition of an in-line microphone and call/answer button.
