The Alienvibes S101 desktop speakers are one choice that offer you a 2.0 speaker system with the goal of accurate sound reproduction. The Alienvibes S101 feature all wooden cabinet construction for more accurate vibrations and a plastic front bezel that has a high gloss finish on it for style. The speakers themselves produce five watts of power each with a peak output of twenty watts for the pair. The main speaker has a power on off switch, volume control, auxiliary headphone jack, and a LED power indicator. The cabinets are painted black and the front of the speakers do not have a grill cover on them, which shows off the speakers themselves.

Although for the past 7 years or so i have used countless stereo, virtual surround and "true" surround headsets i have to confess that nothing beats an dedicated 5.1/6.1/7.1 surround sound set in terms of positioning audio, clarity, volume levels and comfort especially if you plan on spending many hours in front of the screen. Today for review I have the i-Mego Throne headphones, these are over the ear style and in my time with them I found them to be excellent overall in sound and build quality. The sound from the Throne headphones is crisp and full and clear, but they might be a little bit heavy on the bass and slightly light on the treble. It just all depends on the type of music you prefer to listen to. The Throne headphones might be considered expensive by some, coming in at about $130, but for good sound you have to pay a little more and these are definitely worth the price. I don't know if it has something to do with the increasing number of professional gaming teams coming out around every corner (a trend i will probably never figure out) but so far inside the first 6 months of 2013 we've witnessed the introduction of more gaming headsets than we did during the entire 2012.
