Last year Antec announced it was entering the mobile product segment, and at CeBit we were shown a number of new products in this category. Today we are taking a closer look at the A.M.P. SP1, a mobile Bluetooth speaker and speaker dock. It stands out with its stylish design that reminds us of the previously reviewed Jawbone Jambox except that it's more affordable. Also compared to other Bluetooth speaker docks the SP1 is affordable.

That being said, today we’ll be reviewing the Creative Sound Blaster ZxR, which is the flagship soundcard in the Sound Blaster Z series of soundcards. Now a couple months ago, we reviewed the Sound Blaster Z, which is a fantastic soundcard that offered a good balance between sound quality and price, but it’s merely the entry level soundcard in the Sound Blaster Z...

I got my first Bluetooth wireless headset back in early 2003 and it was the none other than NOKIAs first real attempt in the Bluetooth wireless headset market, the HDW-2 (i still have it in working condition) which i paired back then with my brand new NOKIA 6600 smartphone. Of course 10 years later things have changed a lot both when it comes to Bluetooth wireless headsets and smartphones and by a lot i mean in ways we couldn't had predicted back then. Sure the concept has remained the same just like with most things that have evolved (take cars or PCs for example) but we now have wireless headsets that look better, weigh a lot less, have far superior audio quality for both ends, feature impressive noise-cancelling technologies, can be voice controlled, have longer battery lives, feature motion sensors, can stream media from your Bluetooth enabled device and much more. A while ago we reviewed the Voyager Legend Bluetooth wireless headset which is pretty much the best one currently available in the market both in terms of audio quality and features. Well it seems that Plantronics thinks so too and so recently they unveiled the more "complete" UC version which we have here with us today.

Up for review today I have the Samsung YA-BS300 which is a mini Bluetooth speaker that can be used with most any audio device including those that aren’t Bluetooth enabled thanks to a line-in port. The BS300 has controls on it so you can control your media right from the speaker over Bluetooth, and it also has phone controls as the BS300 can act like a speakerphone as well as a regular speaker. The BS300 has four sound enhancement modes to help improve your listening experience. The speaker is very well made, it has a metal housing and even comes with a handy stand so you can set it up right on your desk. Read on to learn more about a great little product…

For some earphones are what they occasionally use when they need to and most likely those people are fine with the earphones that come with their device. Others are people who depend on their earphones to take them away from their surroundings or keep them motivated. These are people who are traveling, working out, or are working remotely. They not only want great sound, but also great comfort as well. RHA, a company out of Glasgow, UK has sent us their latest earphones, the MA450i. These earphones feature a solid aluminum design, 10mm Mylar drivers, seven interchangeable ear-tips and a fabric braided cable. The MA450i has also been certified for use with iPhone, iPod and iPad devices so you will be able to make and receive calls.

With the summer period already opening its arms to welcome us more and more people are looking to buy wireless Bluetooth headsets for use while in the house, on the go or while working out. Now although Jabra recently released the quite remarkable REVO wireless Bluetooth headset the market is not really filled with such solutions, at least not powerful enough solutions for people who really want to listen to their tunes without volume restrictions. Granted the REVO is perhaps the best Bluetooth wireless headset out there but its rather high price tag makes it very hard for people on a tight budget to look at it as a valid solution so we searched around to find a Bluetooth wireless headset that shares most of the features found in the REVO but at half its price tag, if not less. Well it seems that the NC2-3 U.F.O Bluetooth Stereo Headphones by Oblanc just might be the right ones for the job.

Up for review today I have headphones, not just any headphones, but the new EVAC from Wicked Audio. The EVAC headphones are budget priced yes, but they sound pretty good overall. The headphones are made well, they’re lightweight and they comes with nicely padded earpieces and headband so you can wear them comfortably for long periods of time. The headphones can are also collapsible so you can easily take them with you if you need be. So read on to learn more…

I've had something a little different to play around with this week and as much as I love sitting indoors and playing with new gadgets, it's always great when you get something that allow your to break away from your desk and get out into the sun.

April is almost over and so the time has finally come for most of us to start making preparations and plans for our summer vacations (although personally I’ll be happy if i can manage to leave for just a week). This might be also why many friends and even some of you out there have asked from us to increase our reviews regarding mobile audio devices like Bluetooth headsets and speakers something which as you can easily see we've been doing already. However to satisfy that request we are working around the clock to acquire and test such devices from all the leading manufacturers in the field. One such manufacturer is Tech-Life (yet quite new) and today we will be taking a look at their BeatBlock Premium Bluetooth Wireless Speaker which according to them is the most advanced of its kind currently in the market.

Although for the past 7 years or so i have used countless stereo, virtual surround and "true" surround headsets i have to confess that nothing beats an dedicated 5.1/6.1/7.1 surround sound set in terms of positioning audio, clarity, volume levels and comfort especially if you plan on spending many hours in front of the screen. Still i can't deny that headsets can be extremely useful especially when you are using it with multiplayer games (mainly because it's easier to speak with your teammates) or you just don't want to intrude on the privacy of those around you and vice versa. I guess that's also why most people i know own headsets that they use with their computers, however the same does not apply for people with gaming consoles such as the Microsoft XBOX 360 mainly because there aren't as many fully compatible headsets out in the market which is also why today we will be taking a look at the Detonator Stereo Headset by TRITTON.
