I have gone through a whole collection of headsets in the past due to a cable going bad. This happens when you run over the wire with your chair when the wire is too long or when the cord is to short and you get hard tugs on it. Because of that I have been a big fan of wireless headsets, especially because latency is less of an issue with them. Well today I’m going to take a look at Logitech’s G930 wireless headset. I’m especially interested in how it compares to the Corsair Vengeance 2000, another popular wireless headset in the same price range. If the last two wireless mice from Logitech are indication, the G930 could be a good option. But let’s look closer before making any judgment.

Our enthusiast audience may not have heard of Edifier but they have been around since 1996 basing their company motto on ‘Passion for sound’. The Spinnaker speakers have been awarded an ‘Innovations Design and Engineering Award’ following months of product fine tuning by ex Wharfedale Production Manager Phil Jones. Today we are are looking at the Spinnaker E30 speakers with Bluetooth support.

Who is Bayan Audio? Back in 2011, an UK-based company started that had the sole intent of creating high quality products that produce phenomenal sound out of natural materials, that you can take with you wherever you may go. You may recognize them from a previous report we did a few weeks back, when we took a look at the Bayan Audio Soundbook Wireless Bluetooth Speaker. Today, we have the privilege of taking a bigger and better look at the Bayan Audio Soundbook X3, the big brother to the previously reported Soundbook. One thing to keep in mind before we dig into the X3, is that we are looking at a wireless bluetooth speaker. More often then not, you ‘get what you pay for’ when it comes to wireless bluetooth speakers. The cheaper wireless speakers are typically comprised of a lower grade material, which will further inhibit the performance of the speaker, but the opposite also remains true. What really impresses us is when a company creates a product that is not only of high quality, but doesn’t break your bank as well.

Turtle Beach sent us their Z Seven headset, a high-end gaming headset with all the bells and whistles you could wish for: a USB in-line controller with audio presets, surround sound, aux input and the ability to conduct phone calls while you're gaming. This headset definitely warrants a closer look and listen.

Today we have some gaming royalty in the eTeknix office, the Astro a50 wireless gaming headset. Ever since we reviewed the Astro A40 headset a while back I've been dying to get my hands on the high end wireless edition. The Astro A40 simply blew me away with its incredible sound reproduction, build quality and comfort, so naturally I wanted to see what Astro could do with an even more ambitious and expensive headset!
The A50 is remarkably well equipped, featuring plenty of high end features that set it apart from the competition, as you can see from the spec sheet below there's everything from a long life Li-Ion battery, 5.8 Ghz wireless tech, powerful drivers and more. Of course this kind of capability comes at a price and I'm sorry to say that the price is a staggering £250. This puts it out of the reach of your average gamer and into enthusiast territory, so while that may be a lot of money for a peripheral, the real question is "is it worth it?"
