The Siberia V2 is one of the flagship gaming-grade audio products from SteelSeries. Now the company releases the Cross-Platform model, a headset that is compatible across the board with PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It's a wise choice for the user who plays on the PC and on one of those next-generation consoles (or perhaps on both of them.) The Siberia V2 Cross-Platform is a big headset with closed ear headphones and 50 mm drivers, but at the same time is surprisingly lightweight and features a retractable microphone. We'll look at the physical characteristics first, and then we'll review the product's performance.
If things go as they should and all game publishers manage to roll-out their latest PC titles as planned 2015 may just turn out to be a great year for gamers around the world. The list of PC games scheduled for release in 2015 is very long but some of them really stand out like Grand Theft Auto 5, The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield Hardline, Call Of Duty 12, EVE Valkyrie, Mad Max, World of Warships, Star Wars Battlefront, Entropy, Just Cause 3, Dreadnought, Galactic Civilizations 3, HomeWorld Remastered and Carmageddon: Reincarnation because let’s face it, gamers have been waiting for them for quite some time now (HomeWorld Remastered, Carmageddon Reincarnation and Grand Theft Auto 5 especially for many years now). Unfortunately whereas titles like EVE Valkyrie require players to spend a nice amount of money on VR headsets like the Occulus Rift just to be able to play (unless this changes until launch that is - we hope it does) the rest require the usual gaming peripherals for the best possible experience. Headsets are particularly important when playing games and the latest Siberia Elite Prism virtual surround sound headset by SteelSeries should be all you've ever wanted and then some.
It’s really hard to believe that the SteelSeries Siberia v2’s that we know and love have been out for over four years now. In that time most of you have rebuilt your PC at least once, have played countless game, and even lived through the Harlem Shake and Gangnam Style. So after all of that, I’m not surprised that SteelSeries is finally introducing another Siberia model to sell alongside of the v2. I have been looking forward to seeing what SteelSeries could do with their latest Siberia headset, let’s dive in and see what they are all about and see if they live up to their Elite name.
Almost every big headset manufacture has introduced their own wireless headset at some point over the past few years. SteelSeries did one specifically for console gamers as well. When I asked at the time they told me that a PC specific model was something they were considering. Well here we are on the brink of a new year and SteelSeries recently announced their H Wireless. While at MLG we had the chance to sit down with them and find out more about the H Wireless and then later take one home with us to put to the test. Let’s see what it’s all about and how it performed!
The new Flux Luxury Edition Gaming Headset from SteelSeries was built for mobility in mind, comes with two separate connectivity cables, a carry pouch and interchangeable covers. The Flux is easy to adjust thanks to the FluidFIT headband and produces a high quality sound even in movies or games, even if it is marketed mainly for gaming purposes.
With the cellphone being more and more a platform for digital entertainment (games and multimedia), it's just natural that the user would want a headset that is fit for gaming in a classic desktop/laptop configuration and also good for listening to music and making calls on a mobile device. Flux, the portable model from SteelSeries, is an answer to all those needs. It also features heavy rubber cables that don't tangle up, plus literally over a thousand choices of customization. The product is sold in a regular version as well as a luxury edition, with some accessories. We received the luxury edition for our test, but first we are going to review the headset itself, and then proceed to analyze its accessories and performance.

SteelSeries has been busy introducing a few different products including a full rework of their H series of headsets, the new Siberia Elite, and even a new mouse. To start off our coverage I wanted to check out the new H series headsets, but with the size of my head I was limited to the new 9H that is larger than the 7H that we took a look at it years ago. With a new look, new drivers, and a new size I couldn’t wait to put my Siberia v2’s aside and try them out.
