Today for review I’ve got a small HDTV, it’s the 19" Sanyo DP19648 720p Widescreen LCD HDTV. It’s a refurb yes, but it looks brand new, and there’s really nothing wrong with it at all except for one stuck pixel that you honestly cannot even notice. The picture on this TV is beautiful, and the sound is very good as. This TV would be great as a second or third HDTV for your home, or even for a dorm room, it’s small and lightweight making it portable, and it features a VGA connections as well so it can even double as a monitor for your computer to further save some space. A TV is an investment that lasts you a long time. While the warranty is generally only 1 year you will easy get many years of good use. The Samsung 55C6500 is one of those investments. The 55C6500 is a big TV that’ll make all your friends jealous. It however is not big enough that it becomes difficult to carry or assemble. I was still able to manage the job myself.

As part of the series, we’ve previously discussed video resolutions and how video information is displayed on a screen for a frame of video in our guide, Video Resolutions for Beginners. What we didn’t delve into much was the rate at which video frames are captured, or, in other words, the video frame rate. This guide will cover the basics of frame rates and how displays deal with the frame rates. We’ll try to cut through the marketing buzzwords like 120Hz, 240Hz, 600Hz sub-field drive, etc. so that you can make a more informed decision when purchasing your next display and how to insure an optimal viewing experience.
