There is finally some choice if you're looking to buy a high resolution monitor, as long as you are willing to pay the price. You could either choose one of the current WQHD-monitors which mainly offer excellent colour accuracy or one of the Ultra HD-screens we discussed in this article. These offer even more real estate and generally have good response times.

The Sharp PN-K321H is a phenomenal monitor, there's no question about that. The test results don't do a good job of showing how impressive this monitor really is. You need to stand in front of it. The details you can see in high-resolution photos is astounding, and the huge amount of extra workspace is great for complex software with lots of toolbars and windows. It's a unique product, even if ASUS will soon release its own 4K monitor and others are sure to follow. Sharp is currently the only manufacturer of IGZO 4K panels, so you will likely be seeing more of these.

The MK809 II is an Android powered device that effectively turns any TV (with HDMI input) into an advanced Smart TV. The problem with most Smart TVs is their features effectively become obsolete in as little as a year of purchase as the TV manufacturers limit new features to new TVs, even on TVs with marketing such as “Software-upgradable for future services”. By using an Android set top box such as this MK809 II, the user gains access to a huge range of apps available on Android, far more than what’s available on most Smart TVs, including those that feature downloadable Apps.
