Today I’ll be taking a look at one of BenQ’s mid-range monitors for the home and office, the BenQ GW2750HM. While the monitor is LED powered and hence very thin, its big selling points is its VA (vertical alignment) panel, an alternative to both IPS and TN that sits somewhere in the middle of the two technologies. Let’s see how this 27″ 1080p monitor compares to others in its price range, as well as top of the line models elsewhere.

The BenQ RL2240H is the perfect gaming monitor for those on a budget, costing just £113. The 21.5-inch LED backlit display is of an extremely high quality and there’s also a wide range of display modes for you to choose from. Also, with the ability to hook the monitor up via HDMI, you’re definitely getting one hell of a monitor for around the £100 mark. Let’s take a closer look…

We reviewed the BenQ RL2450HT. This 24-inch monitor was developed together with gamers, and that is also the intended target audience. The display has very fast response times along with some game-specific features, but if you’re not a gamer there are more affordable options out there that are better in other aspects.

Despite the high prices of certain internal hardware like Graphics cards, mobos and CPUs, one of the biggest purchases you’ll ever make as a hardware enthusiast or gamer is your display. The monitor, the device you use to view all the content your internals pump out; it’s important.

BenQ state that it’s perfect for competitive FPS games and has been co-developed with Counter-Strike legends, so we’re expecting great things from the XL2420T. Let’s take a closer look…

For quite some time, the thought of a full size touch screen monitor has recurred in build considerations as it just seems that 'touch' can make things faster and more enjoyable. Having watch closely over the past few years, there seem to have been many trial and error lessons learned and only after our visit to Computex did a touchscreen become a serious consideration. We owe a bit of a thank you to Gigabyte for that.

Dell have always had a reputation for creating some of the finest monitors on the market. While they do make a wide array of panels for the mass market audience, they have always focused on the high end technology. Their U2410 has received a lot of critical acclaim, earning a top award on KitGuru, and they have also recently released the U2711, a 27 inch panel which features IPS technology.

Front on, the new U2412M shares a similar layout to the other U series monitors we've seen over the last 12 months in the sense that it's quite a square design for the most part. What differs, though, is the corners are all rounded and the overall bezel seems just a few mm thinner. Like most Dell monitors, some would argue it's boring, while others will say it's simplistic which is pleasant.
