Last fortnight, I was a guest at the Sony Showcase Building in Ginza, Tokyo, to take a look at one of the more interesting and unique new gadgets from the electronics giant in some years. The HMZ-T1, otherwise known by the somewhat more interesting moniker 'Personal 3D Viewer', looks like an accessory of Professor X, but the headset which beams 3D images directly to the retina will soon be available to the Japanese market. For a brief few minutes I was given a hands on demonstration with a prototype device and I'd like to tell you all about it.

Following Pioneer’s exit from the plasma display panel (PDP) market Panasonic moved from also-ran to market leader by delivering the right mix of performance and value to the full range of plasma buyers. Ultimately the Pioneer Kuro failed to find the right balance between features and a price that enough buyers were willing or able to pay, so while it created a useful reference point the real question Panasonic needs to answer with its plasmas is if they can deliver enough of the features that enthusiasts want at a cost that the masses can afford. Keep reading to take a look at 2010’s range topping TC-P58VT25 (part of the VT25 series); which delivers excellent picture quality, 3D and a decent IPTV offering.

For those in the Android world who want to add extra storage to their device it is as easy as adding a memory card, but for all of us who use iOS devices we are stuck with the capacity of the device we purchase. With all of the movies, music, photos and apps out there it is easy to reach capacity on iOS devices. I’m sure many people get frustrated with this and Kingston knows this. This is why they have come up with the Wi-Drive. It is portable, wireless storage for your iPod, iPhone or iPad. Read on as we take a look...

Once in a while Team Madshrimps gets invited to attend a Team Overclocking event. Is it because people like us for who we are? Because of our looks? The knowledge we can share? Well to be honest we don't care about the previous. Most important thing on our own list is the abundant presence of free food and drinks. Secondly if the event is related to torturing PC Hardware, then we don't mind a long drive. Wickedly enough after each event, we get invited to the next upcoming one. So at least we must be doing something good. Time to get in the HWBot company war (in reality it's Massman's dad) and start the drive towards the 3rd EOS event at the cute town, called Heilbronn in Germany.

I do know that having a site being purchased spells eventual doom. VoodooExtreme was recently canned by IGN, and a few affiliate tech sites like motherboards.org have changed leadership when the owners sold their rights away.

A few days after our review of the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, we received a call from AMD. The call was some commentary on the actual review (okay, really it was of complaints). The first thing that was said was that we were wrong in our premise that we needed more voltage to get higher clocks on the PII X6. At the time of this writing we cannot debate this claim. AMD maintains that their silicon is mature enough that the CPU does not need extra voltage to attain higher speeds. The claim about maturity is true; the Phenom II CPU is a very mature design (bordering on old in CPU terms). It is also being made in FABs that have the lowest failure rate in the world.

Nearly four years on from the introduction of the Nintendo Wii, Sony has released their competitor; dubbed PlayStation Move. The small wand-like device is clearly aimed at not only extending the life span of the PlayStation 3, but at growing the user base with some more casual party oriented games and experiences that will appeal to the hardcore gaming community. Let's take a look at the characteristics of the hardware first.
