Normally I don’t get too aggravated with the Facebook changes (aside from privacy issues) but I have to admit I have hopped on the latest Timeline complaints. I didn’t think it was a big deal until it was implemented and I miss the simplicity of the original design. At the time this article was written there is no way to go back to the old layout and Facebook is showing no interest in giving you a choice. In other words; get used to it. There is an option here, however.

Have you ever heard of a smart card that unlocks all channels of your cable TV? This is obviously a scam, as no such device exists. Channels are locked and unlocked at the cable TV's side, not at the customer's side. This week a shady individual showed up at our office offering such a card. Our lab assistant winked and said, "This will give an excellent article." Let's take a look at it.

Until recently digital multimedia could only be enjoyed on the computer, and with some extra effort it could be shared onto a portable electronic device. But high-definition movies and music are really best enjoyed on a home theater system, with larger screen and powerful speakers. Now that HDTVs and wireless networking are commonplace an era of attached digital media players has begun, and the WD TV Live helps make the transition easy. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the WD TV Live high-definition digital media player, model WDBHG70000NBK-HESN, and we evaluate how well it entertains us.

Sometimes when you don't use a specific product in your daily life you can fail to see its importance and in a way up until recently i did exactly that in regard to Powerline network adapters since i wasn't aware of just how many people out there actually use them to fill the gap between normal wired and wireless connections. That's also the reason as to why for the past couple of months I’ve been trying to test as many Powerline adapter sets as i can get my hands on so everyone who uses such devices can know exactly what each of those solutions has to offer. So following the quite good PL-550D 500Mbit/s Powerline adapter set by RaidSonic we had the chance to test roughly 2 weeks ago today we will be testing the latest TPL-402E2K 500Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit by TRENDnet.

I was really annoyed with the amount of cables and networking equipment lyingon the floor: a modem for the computer, another modem for the telephone, a router, a Gigabit Ethernet switch, and their power supplies. Finally, I decided to organize things around here. See the end result in the picture below. I installed everything on the inner panel of my desk. At least now I can vacuum the floor. How about you? Do you leave everything on the floor collecting dust, or do you organize it in any way?

For these three monitors BenQ has used panels from AU Optronics, which is responsible for the bulk of Vertical Alignment panels out there. They are claimed to be 'true' 8-bit panels, compared to the dithering solution applied to the 6-bit displays of most TN and e-IPS panels. For most uses this difference isn't noticeable, but for colour-critical applications accurate colour rendering is very important.
