It’s no longer necessary for an optical disc player to be the focal point of a home theater setup. Set-top media boxes, designed to play video and audio files either from a USB-connected hard drive or streamed across your home network are abound from such manufacturers as Western Digital, Apple, and D-Link. ViewSonic has debuted their NexTV VMP75 player, which boasts full network capability (wireless support comes via a USB dongle upgrade), Netflix streaming, loads of compatible formats, and even an eSata connector (a rarity in this USB dominated world). As sexy as that may sound, all those bullet points aren’t very compelling if it won’t play your media, so let’s power up the ViewSonic player and see what we can throw at it.
The Scosche flipSYNC USBMM charge and sync cable is a clever, but simple little device that could prove to be very useful considering how many devices feature USB connections these days. Since this compact device is designed to be portable and carried on a key chain, the flipSYNC will always be with you when a normal cable might not be available.

Today we will be looking at a most unusual beast, the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD. The Sound Blaster name instantly brings up thoughts of gaming audio, and the X-Fi chip certainly provides the muscle for that. Take a look at the card itself though, and you could be forgiven for thinking that the designers could not have cared less about gaming. The box prominently features talk of SNR, THD, ASIO drivers and interchangeable op-amps—all the hallmarks of a music-oriented card.

After using the LG Flatron W2340VG 23-inch widescreen LCD monitor for a few weeks, the first word to come to my mind is impressive. Out of the box, the monitor is bright and the colors are deep and rich. Add the glossy and sleek design to all of that, and this monitor would make a perfect addition to anyone's computer desk.
Today for review I’ve got another product from our friends over at Geeks.com, this is one though that I was kind of excited about getting, sort of. I was more excited about getting it to stop arguments in my home, my kids fight all the time over things and anything to can stop that would be very nice. The product is a portable DVD player from Sylvania, model number SDVD8732, but it has one unique difference, it includes two 7” LCD screens so you can play the same movie on both screens. It includes straps to mount to car headrests so you can use it while traveling and it has a five hour battery.
