Die Medal of Honor Reihe dürfte mittlerweile jedem Fan von First-Person-Shootern ein Begriff sein, auch wenn die letzten Auskopplungen nicht mehr ganz an frühere Titel der Serie heranreichen konnten. Electronic Arts schickt nun mit Medal of Honor den neuesten Teil der Spielereihe in die Läden. In wie weit man die Qualität der ersten Teile erreicht, klärt folgendes Review.
At first glance BulletStorm comes across as a rowdy, boisterous FPS title without much depth or any sort of storyline. Not much was done to change that perception in the run-up to its release as developers People Can Fly seemed content to pander to the meandering masses. Keen to be considered different from the average, serious, war-torn FPS games that have become the norm (Call of Duty, Battlefield etc.) EA released a Call of Duty spoof entitled Duty Calls. The short game summed up everything that the dev team found boring in the CoD series in hilarious fashion, the question is: Is BulletStorm really so different?

Crysis 2 was released three months back to some disappointment. Despite a generally warm reception on the gameplay front, Crysis 2 was neither the eye-candy fest nor the graphics card stress test some were hoping for. If you recall, Crysis was the definitive real-world stress test back in its day. For quite some time after its release, even the most powerful systems struggled to run Crysis at maximum detail.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 is upon us and as well as featuring The Masters, which takes place next month, the latest entry in the franchise also makes heavy use of Kinect functionality on Xbox 360 (for those who have it). The addition of motion controls doesn't guarantee a good experience though so today we find out if a game which should be well suited to Kinect actually succeeds in improving over the traditional pad gameplay.
What ties all of these disasters from different time periods together is the game’s sci-fi twist. Far in the future, a company called Krontek developed time travel for research, and noticed that timelines have been altered significantly by past world events, such as the Titanic and 9-11.
This week I finally managed to find time for the sequel to one of my all time favourite games, Batman Arkham Asylum, the multi million selling Batman Arkham City. Sure this game has been with us for quite some time now, but its popularity seems to have diminished none, not to mention we have the latest re-release of it on the Wii U, GOTY editions, Armoured Editions and a tonne of DLC that has kept the title selling well since its initial release just over 12 months ago.
