EA provides a brand new game via DLC, but it's disappointing

Released on the 14th of February in North America, and the 17th of February in Europe, UFC Undisputed 3 features UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on the front cover of the box after he won a fan vote to grace the cover of the new game. We will be taking a look at the newest release in the series, UFC Undisputed 3.

For their sole PS Vita launch title Capcom have chosen to port Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom to Sony's new handheld and in the process enhance the game by adding touch controls.

Now nine months after the original MvC 3 Capcom are releasing a low cost standalone expansion which is titled Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. With new characters and new features where does it fit in for the average consumer and those who bought the first edition?

Considering the series first began with the launch of the PS3 system, it's hard to believe just how popular and revered this series has become in such a short time. Whilst the first game had its problems, it was no doubt the stand out game from the launch pack back in the day and its sequel proved that Naughty Dog was one of the world's premiere video game developers.

When we reviewed the PS Vita in February one of the titles which really stood out from the launch line-up was the latest Uncharted game. A new adventure based on the highly impressive PlayStation 3 franchise Golden Abyss sees us once again take control of Nathan Drake in a third person shooter with plenty of exploration and action set pieces. Although this being a Vita title means we have some significant enhancements to the gameplay mechanic through the use of our touch screen and panel.

The other disappointing aspect of the game is that it is generally set in only one type of environment. Given the wide variety we've seen in previous games such as the second and third PS3 games, to go backwards like that is again disappointing. Clearly the PlayStation Vita system has to have some concessions made for it and the fact we are even considering it close to a PS3 level game is a feather in its cap, but with that comparison, some down sides appear. It's definitely closer to Uncharted 1 rather than 2 and 3 in this respect.
However with that said the game is stunning to say the least. It is probably the most beautiful portable game we have seen to date. Obviously with the power of the new system behind it that wasn't going to be hard, but the environments are as intricately detailed and structured as its bigger brother which is quite an achievement for a handheld game. The game also includes full voice acting and sound effects which come out loud and clear from the PlayStation Vita system and is of a quality that the PS3 games have including strong voice work from Nolan North.

Unigine has developed a version for Android devices based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip. The mobile version offers a campaign mode that provides an immersive storyline that the modern world can relate to. The storyline mode features four chapters of battles with a technology tree that builds as the story progresses. Oil Rush is fully compatible with touch screens and features intuitive touch controls. The gameplay uses group control to move units. The goal of this control style is to reduce the micromanagement of a typical RTS game. At the same time, it is necessary to think and react fast to keep up with the combat in Oil Rush.

Futuremark is well known in the gaming community, but not for its games. Better known for its benchmarks such as 3D Mark, it's proving itself capable of more than just synthetic tests. Shattered Horizons was its first foray into making games back in 2009. Keeping the space theme but moving back in time, we have at our digital hands, Unstoppable Gorg!
