It's taken me longer than I would have liked to complete this game, but after a few late nights and a few important jobs swept under the carpet, I did it, I finally completed Tomb Raider!
Hailing from the talented minds of Crystal Dynamics, although when I say talented I do know that the studio has had some rather off pace titles over the years, yet they are the people who made games such as Legacy of Kain - Soul Reaver, so we do know that they are capable of creating something special from time to time.
There is no point in hiding behind the truth however, the Tomb Raider franchise has been stinking of rot for a good few years now, and while there may have been one or two half good games in there, or at least enough to please the loyal fans, I think the games have gone down hill since the early PlayStation 2 days. What the franchise needed was some new blood and a complete reboot in the backside! Fortunately, that is exactly what Crystal Dynamics have done, throwing us right back to a time of a 21yr old, much less experienced in the art of exploring, and scared Lara Croft.
What's better than racing? Why, racing and blowing up your opponents, of course! Remedy has just released a remake of its 1995 top-down racer Death Rally, and it's fun. The game has fast-paced racing, a ton of eye candy, gameplay that allows you to hop off as quick as you hopped on, good variety and a modest $10 price tag.

It's not often we review an expansion pack but we make an exception when the new content is a standalone game which offers a largely different experience to the original. This is the case with Total War: Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai which is set during the 19th Century and explores the conflict between the Japanese Imperial throne and the last Shogunate.
A little more than a month ago we told you about the AMD Gaming Evolved Campaign as well as the new game title called Total War: Shogun 2. We took a look at the Shogun 2 and ran some benchmarks using DirctX 9. At the time of release Sega promised a soon to follow patch that would include DirectX 11 compatibility as well as a handful of other killer features. The patch has arrived and we have taken to the benchmarks again to see how the patch has helped or hurt the performance of Total War: Shogun 2. Read on to see what we found out.
Most of us loathe Transformer games and with good reason, they nearly all suck. The thought of reviewing a new Transformers title filled me with trepidation because I had an ominous feeling that I was going to be wasting a part of my life … which I could dedicate to a new hardware review .. such as the shiny new Sapphire graphics card sitting on my table. You will probably be as surprised as me to read that this third person shooter is actually pretty good. No, seriously.
