Following the success of War For Cybertron High Noon were awarded the contract to develop a tie-in for the latest big screen outing from Michael Bay; Dark of The Moon. Today we find out if the game builds on the good foundations of the last title or if it has suffered the same fate that so many movie related games do... extreme mediocrity, at best.

For a few years now, motorsport based games have been the favourite of quite a few gamers. A few years ago CodeMasters released Colin McRae rally and the popularity of the game style quickly grew. CodeMasters relished from its success and ever since have been synonymously associated with a rally style experience.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the third instalment in the Deus Ex series and was developed by Eidos Montreal. Set in a seedy, cynical 2027 and therefore a prequel to the original game this cyber punk style dystopia is on the brink of a new era, an era of self controlled evolution. Cybernetic implants that blend man and machine have allowed "augmented" humans to run faster, think quicker and be more than they could have been without them.

In many ways Dead Island has been an interesting game long before it shipped. Re-announced (after being announced in 2006) earlier this year, Dead Island was first shown with a trailer that defied all conventions of what a typical game trailer is made up of. It went in reverse and it was very 'artsy'. In fact, it was such a good advertisement for the game that the publisher, Deep Silver managed to win an award for it at the famous Cannes festival. But now the game is out, does it live up to the admittedly crazy hype? The answer is yes and no, and with a little bit more polish, it could have been a big yes.

Batman: Arkham Asylum was a great benchmark. The built-in benchmark gave us a fantastic idea of what's going on with performance under the game and while performance has always been quite strong, the game looked fantastic as well. The other benefit was it included PhysX support which gave us a good idea of how PhysX would impact performance. Outside of all that, though, one of the best things about Batman: AA was the simple fact it was a really good game. It's one of the few super hero games in recent years that offered a fantastic story and the dark setting behind it all made for a really enticing experience.

Star Wars: The Old Republic, or SWTOR, is probably one of the most anticipated game releases of 2011 and certainly the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role playing game release in some years. First announced at the end of 2008, SWTOR has been developed by BioWare and of course is based in the Star Wars universe.

Futuremark is well known in the gaming community, but not for its games. Better known for its benchmarks such as 3D Mark, it's proving itself capable of more than just synthetic tests. Shattered Horizons was its first foray into making games back in 2009. Keeping the space theme but moving back in time, we have at our digital hands, Unstoppable Gorg!
