I recently had some time to sit down with the forthcoming Overlord 2 on the Xbox 360. This is (unsurprisingly) the followup to the successful Overlord which was released quite some time ago on the next generation consoles, as well as the PC. In the first game, the Overlord was killed at the end of the game but he was fortunate enough to have a son.
Much like the original title, Two Worlds II is set in the vast kingdom of Antaloor where our hero's sister has once again found herself in all sorts of trouble with the evil wizard Gandohar. Our nameless protagonist must search for his sibling before it's too late and the only thing standing between them being reunited is, as with any fantasy RPG, all manner of nasty, violent and evil beings - each looking to put an end to our hero's quest before it's even begun.

Many people aren’t even aware of the development of Sims 3 because everything relating to the game seems to have been kept relatively hush hush. Developer Maxis also handed the project over to EA Redwood Shores recently. It is actually quite a shock to learn that this title has been in development for around four years now. I was lucky enough to get a look at The Sims 3 when it was announced but recently I managed to spend some time in the new Sims town courtesy of EA.
It has been five years since we saw Riddick shredding up enemies in 2004's "Escape from Butcher Bay". That game was a runaway hit that came out of nowhere, and left many PC gamers wanting more. Atari has now developed the sequel to this sequel (Riddick's character was originally introduced in the movie Pitch Black), but this time expands its audience to include the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. In this review, we'll be focusing on the PC review, because believe me there are glaring differences between the PC version and its console bretheren.
These days when discussing new PC games, the talking point is generally around a new cutting edge engine and how much better it looks when compared to the previous version. For months now anticipation has been building amongst first person shooter fanatics as the release of this year's two main military based games approached. Just two weeks apart Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are being launched and it is fair to say that the proximity of the launches has had at least one of the developers scrambling to get their game out first.
