Set in 2023, some 3 years after the events of the original Crysis, Crysis 2 moves the action from the remote setting of the Lingshan Islands to New York City with the single player story written by author Richard Morgan. The game then takes us across New York as we attempt to save the city from an alien invasion force while trying to avoid or fight C.E.L.L forces who are a private military company run by the Crynet Corporation.
We recently spent some time with Cryostatis developer Action Forms Limited and they let us play their forthcoming PhysX supported title. Many of you will have already tried out the graphics demo which has been available for a while. It certainly seems an ambitious title, but is it actually any good?
Cryostasis is the first PC game to use the graphics card to calculate fluid simulation using smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and the game is loaded with tons of other physics that will blow you away. With the techdemo for the game being released today we figured that we'd show you how the demo performs on ATI Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. We even toss in a dedicated PhysX card to see what it will do for performance.

This game does the same, but gives you more to do. The added touch of zombie outbreak doesn't hurt at all, but only in the sense of providing half of a game day's worth of Dead Rising
fun on the streets. That's almost it, a bigger sandbox than the first game as far as variety, but not as much as it could have been.
First of all, the queue for CS:GO at Eurogamer Expo was enormous. This was the first showing of the demo in Europe, the staff were giving out free t-shirts, and the fans had to wait for up to an hour to get their hands on the PS3 version of the game. With just 10 seats, you felt like royalty while playing those few minutes of CS:GO.
This week I’ve been getting lost in a part of the gaming world I know little about, real-time strategy. I’ve tried and failed at this genre before and I’ve yet to find a game that really hooked me, even then I think the last one I moderately enjoyed was C&C Generals! But I have heard great things about Company of Heroes and when presented with a chance to test out this latest edition in the series I just couldn’t help myself. Of course this isn’t just me sharing my preferences for gaming but a warning that I am a complete n00b at CoH2 and may not fully grasp the source material, you have been warned.
The game takes place in the legendary setting of World War II, in which you will span several legendary encounters from the perspective of the games new faction the Soviet Red Army. This sees you crossing the Eastern Front and the campaign features 14 challenging missions for you to pick your way through. Personally I found the game to be quite challenging in more ways than one and for the purpose of my own enjoyment I had to bump it down to Conscript difficulty (easy) just to get anywhere, although this could be my lack of experience with this type of game.
