Jedes Jahr bringen sowohl EA Sports als auch Konami eine Neuauflage ihrer Fußballspiel-Serie auf den Markt und jedes Jahr wieder stellt sich die Frage, welches Spiel – „FIFA“ oder „Pro Evolution Soccer“ (PES) – denn dieses Mal das bessere ist. Nach „FIFA 12“ sehen wir uns nun „Pro Evolution Soccer 2012“ an und klären, was der Konami-Titel im Vergleich zu bieten hat.
It was yesterday morning that I first read about the latest indi title to be hitting up the forums of the inter-tubes, generating a similar sort of underground buzz to that of Minecraft. Kotaku had an article on it, describing how in Project Zomboid (a name that I’m still struggling to speak out loud in a serious fashion) the writer had died from burning some soup. Ha, what a noob I thought, and fired off an email to the creators, requesting a code to give the game a try. Being the high powered, executive journalist type that I am, (of course) they were nice enough to oblige me.
Like the original Prototype 2 is a sandbox based game meaning we are essentially free to roam about the game world, picking up side missions as we go or progressing the main story. This isn't any normal sandbox game though because our enhanced main character, who finds himself in a quarantined New York, has the ability to run faster, leap higher and even climb walls or glide if we wish. This opens up every area of the city to us for exploration and gameplay and the fact that most of the environment features destructive objects is an added bonus.
Prototype 2 gehört zu den Spielen, die den Gamern das geben wollen, was in einer von Ego-Shootern und Fantasy-RPG dominierten Zeit nur selten erhältlich ist: ein aktuelles Setting, posthumane Fähigkeiten, ein pralles Arsenal an Waffen und ganze Gegnerhorden, die man in alt-bekannter „Hack 'n Slay“-Manier zerlegen darf. Mit Prototype 2 geht dieses Konzept aus dem Hause "Activision" und "Radical Entertainment" in die zweite Runde. Zwar wurde der Nachfolger zensiert um einer Indizierung in Deutschland zu entkommen, wir aber haben Prototype 2 in der englischen Uncut-Fassung für euch gespielt und werden in diesem Test klären, ob das Spiel hält, was der Vorgänger verspricht.
Those nuts over at Activision have done it again. They have dropped another golden egg in our laps and that baby is hatching into what could be one of the biggest games of 2009. I was surprised and impressed with their latest masterpiece, so much so that I was willing to buy it the day it hit stores (which was on June 9th in case you're wondering). If you haven't unleashed your potential as an undead, virus-plagued, morphing super beast, then you haven't experienced Prototype.
It's easy to compare Q.U.B.E. to Portal at a quick glance, but in reality it's a much different game. The main focus is on puzzle-solving, but the puzzles here are solved by manipulating blocks in order to achieve some objective to open the door at the end. And in terms of sheer difficulty, Q.U.B.E. takes the cake.
Today for review I’ve got a game called QuantZ, it’s a very unique casual puzzle style game that will get you hooked from the start. QuantZ features a rotating cube and marbles, the game relies on physics heavily, and utilizes it well. The idea is basic, break the marbles or QuantZ, but you can use your mouse to rotate the cube any which way and at varying speeds as well, rotating the cube causes the QuantZ to move around to re-group or even fly off of the cube to slowly fall back down, letting you group them to make matching color groups. The game might sound simple and basic, but it’s actually addictive and fun. Read on to learn more, I’ve got several screen shots for you along with a couple videos.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a game that recreated the element of surprise at the heart of each conflict, one that would enable players to not only show the understanding of their arsenal but also genuine lateral thinking in the face of something unexpected?

Simbin have released a new racing game entitled Race On however on closer inspection it is basically a resissue of the aging (but still solid) Race 07. The Swedish developer added Nordschleife and some Grand Tourers last year and called it GTR Evolution ... this year they add more to it, with American Muscle cars, WTCC 08 updates and some Swedish Touring action making the grade.
