I recently had some time to sit down with the forthcoming Overlord 2 on the Xbox 360. This is (unsurprisingly) the followup to the successful Overlord which was released quite some time ago on the next generation consoles, as well as the PC. In the first game, the Overlord was killed at the end of the game but he was fortunate enough to have a son.
A few days ago Codemasters released a demo of Overlord II on Xbox live however if you haven’t had a chance to look at it then we had some hands on time at E3 with the demo code ourselves.
It is a brave developer who decides to release an adventure role playing game for the Wii. As soon as it is announced comparisons will be made with the Zelda franchise. Does it match up graphically, is the story too similar, or not similar enough... and then when people actually play it, how does it compare overall. An RPG on Wii can be impressive but fail to get close to Zelda and many will see it as a failure, not worth their time or money.

When I got my Nintendo 3DS one the first accessories I got was a case, and there were many to choose from so I picked one that I found unique and quite usable. The case is from PDP and it’s called the Pull & Go Folio that will allow you to not only protect your 3DS on the go, but it will allow you to take many games, an extra stylus and even a spare power supply with you. The name Pull & Go comes from the fact that it’s actually two cases in one, the large one and a smaller one that attaches to the case with velcro just housing your 3DS and a couple games. I like this case a lot, if you’re looking for case then you seriously need to take a good look at this one from PDP.
Pilotwings as a series is an interesting one. First launched on the Super Nintendo system, the game is either derided or loved by each gamer with a Nintendo console. The fact is that the older games were hard, incredibly hard in fact; so difficult that you could get stuck for hours on end with nothing to do just trying to beat one challenge. However, for many gamers that is what made the game so appealing and when we heard that it was coming to 3DS with 3D graphics we were excited. However, we also had a worry that given the casual market that Nintendo now targets, it would be toned down and unfortunately this is only the beginning of its problems.
The original Planetside graced our PCs back in 2003 – and now, 9 years later, its successor is upon is. With it comes bigger maps, a bigger arsenal and a not-so-big monthly fee of $0. Tower defense games seem to be all the craze lately with every platform having a multitude at their disposal already. Heck, even the Iphone has a few really good titles available on the Itunes store. Today we are looking at the newest title available on Steam for a few bucks by developer PopCap called Plants Vs Zombies. This game is set to become a classic because it combines addictive gameplay while oozing charm and personality from every line of code.
