Everyone who has played an MMORPG will be familiar with the concept of quests, raids and epic journeys across vast online worlds where danger lies behind every corner. Yet it's not often that players will be mid-quest only to see the atmosphere tear around them as they are invaded by creatures from another dimension hell bent on destroying everything and everyone in the beautiful green planes of their world. Welcome to Rift.

Bulletstorm was released on the console and PC platforms last week. Today we are looking at the PC version which is actually a hell of a lot of fun. The game is set to appeal to a wide audience, because it doesn’t take itself too seriously, rather poking fun at the modernday seriousness of first person shooters. Think Duke Nukem with a group of swearing, tough as nails marines and an inventive, adaptive kill system.

The Marvel vs. Capcom series is widely lauded as one of, if not the best fighting game series around, and it's not hard to see why. Offering familiar characters from some of the most famous Marvel comics as well as the most intense and over the top fighting action in the gaming world today, it has defined itself as a niche product in what many already consider a niche genre. So when Capcom decided that it was time for the third iteration, we were interested, especially after the smash hit Street Fighter IV. And it looks like it has been worth the decade or so wait since the last game with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 offering intense fighting action, whilst offering some new options for novice gamers.

In recent years entire virtual worlds have been developed, seeing gamers transported to renaissance Italy or even the rings of Saturn. Still, nothing quite compares to being immersed in a virtual world based on the real thing and Test Drive Unlimited has set the pace when it comes to doing so. When Eden Games released that title it was one of the most ground breaking racing simulators to date; being the first racing game to introduce the idea of a massively multiplayer online racing and giving players from all over the globe the chance to interact, challenge and exist among many like them.

Remember the nightmare faced by the PC gamers more than 3 years ago where all high end graphics cards back then can't even run the game properly when all the eye candies were enabled? It seems the suitation is much better now with the new CryEngine 3 that seems more robust and support multi-platforms. You have about a month time to upgrade your dated PCs to play Crysis 2 comfortably before it hits the retail on March 22nd.

Test Drive Unlimited was a classic game and one that kept me occupied for many, many months. Is the long awaited follow up any good? I have spent the last two weeks trying to get to grips with the somewhat flawed sequel.

I was a huge Test Drive Unlimited fan. Sure, there were some areas that other "racing" games did better in, but what TDU did was bring with it not just a racing game, but a life style game. TDU2 hopes to take that experience to the next level and in some areas they have; in others, not so much. From the start you get what the whole game is about and you understand that it's not just another racing game. As you find yourself day dreaming in a Ferrari to then be snapped back to reality as the owner comes to the car, you get a little tingle thinking how you've dreamt this as well.

Launching on the 1st of March (US) and 4th of March (EU), and currently in open beta, RIFT is a brand new next generation MMO from Trion Worlds. RIFT has been in development for about four years and has been in closed beta since late last year. Promising next generation graphics combined with a dynamic world setting RIFT has caused quite a stir in the MMO community.

When Writer/ Director George Lucas took to the stage at the latest 'Star Wars Celebration V' fan convention in August 2010 to announce a Star Wars saga Blu-ray for release in 2011, fans were surprised. Afterall, he'd already committed to a 3D re-release of all six films starting from 2012. Additionally, 2012 marks the 30th Anniversary of the first film A New Hope. Still after the seemingly forever wait for the films to be released on DVD, fans won't complain that the Blu-ray's will have arrived with merciful haste.
