Rise Of The Argonauts is a fusion of a role playing and action game based on ancient Greek mythology. Developer Liquid Entertainment have focused more on a streamlined arcade action viewpoint with this game which may very alienate a portion of the prospective audience.
While some games allow us to play with a controller or Kinect Rise of Nightmares very much pushes us down the latter route, Kinect is a requirement and everything within the game relies on it including the menu's and loading screen interactivity. Upon selecting our difficulty level we are thrown into a mini-tutorial mission based around two characters with terrible French accents. This mission fills us in nicely on the control method and sets the scene well for what we can expect from the game.
Launching on the 1st of March (US) and 4th of March (EU), and currently in open beta, RIFT is a brand new next generation MMO from Trion Worlds. RIFT has been in development for about four years and has been in closed beta since late last year. Promising next generation graphics combined with a dynamic world setting RIFT has caused quite a stir in the MMO community.

Recently we had a sneak peak at RIFT, the new MMO from Trion Worlds and we also had the chance to sit down and speak with lead content developer William Cook at the launch event. We've been quietly excited about RIFT for some time, having had the chance to play during the BETA events. Weve also seen a rising level of expectation in the general MMO community as the game got closer to its launch date.
The wait for the next proper Ridge Racer title has been long, but Unbounded is finally here, and it brings a surprise: it's also for the PC. In this iteration, we're to conquer races in Shatter Bay, build our own tracks, and compete with others online. Oh - and to act like a hurricane to wreck as much as we possibly can.
Ridge Racer has appeared on a wide range of formats over the years from the original on Arcade to the more recent on 3DS, PlayStation Vita and even mobile phones. With Ridge Racer Unbounded we are back to the home environment with a version for PS3, another for Xbox 360 and the PC gets some love too. Set in the fictional city of Shatter Bay we must drift, boost and speed our way through numerous races with destruction of environments and opponents a very important game aspect as is course creation and sharing.
It seems that every time a new console has launched since the PlayStation that a Ridge Racer has launched with it. With the recent release of the 3DS, Ridge Racer once again made its now common appearance. However, things were different this time. Ridge Racer on a Nintendo handheld? On 3D? At launch? - We hadn't seen this before, and so there were concerns. Thankfully, for Namco, these concerns were unfounded and Ridge Racer is one of the better launch games around.

We don’t often review games on the handheld consoles because most of them aren’t really relevant to our audience. We are willing to make exceptions however and today we have one of the finest games released on Sony’s PSP up for review. Developer Sony Bend have released a modern day classic which hits the mark and will go down in the annals of history as one of the finest PSP games ever made.
