Borderlands was a brilliant game and one that I have been playing since it was released. The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned is the first downloadable content for the game which only costs $10. For this you get a whole new zone as well as new enemies, new missions and chances to get more equipment and loot. The Island is very dramatic in design with a sub horror ‘halloween feel’ to it, populated with a plethora of undead zombie forces.
Braid was released last year on Xbox Live Arcade and received passionate acclaim from both critics and the public. It was a compelling and fascinating title from a small independent developer which proved the point that sometimes the most creative concepts don’t come from huge publishing corporations. Software developers Splash Damage are no strangers to hit games. As the creative team behind Quake 3 and Quake Wars, many people were excited when it was announced they would team with Zenimax to create a unique new shooter called Brink. In the months leading up to the release the game players have been teased with gameplay videos and promises that the drop-in dropout feature other new innovations would revolutionize 3-D shooters.
Brink has a futuristic setting where Earth has flooded and a large chunk of civilisation has moved to a large floating city called The Ark. Designed initially as a sustainable living environment which was populated by great minds of the day as well as the rich it now finds itself surrounded by un-sailable ships and Container City, a slum which is the home of the Resistance a group of people with nowhere else to go and no access to even the basic standards of living.
Brink is no ordinary, everyday shooter, the whole concept of this action game revolves around some rather dramatic and inventive ideas. The fluid, Mirrors Edge style parkour movement is combined with a unusual player objective mechanic.

Epic Games and shooters go together like few other combinations in the gaming industry.
