The 2011 Edition Apple MacBook Pro's are some seriously beautiful pieces of technology. Thin, unbelievably fast, amazing screen and finally, not so expensive. Spec-wise, Apple throw some decent tech into their 17-inch MacBook Pro. The 17-inch model contains; an Intel Core i7 2.2GHz processor (6MB shared L3 cache), 4GB of 1333MHz DDR3 memory (upgradeable to 8GB), 750GB 5400-rpm SATA HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6750M GPU with 1GB GDDR5 memory, Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB of DDR3 shared with main memory, and a 17-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display with a resolution of 1920x1200.

The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini convinces as a smartphone. The hardware may not be the latest and the greatest, but it's powerful enough to ensure a smooth user experience. However, the 'S III' in the name creates expectations that aren't entirely met. Sure, the software and all the features are there, but the hardware just is a bit too underwhelming. Especially considering the £300 you'll reportedly be asked to pay for this device. If you're not particularly bothered by the software and all the interesting features it has to offer, then the Galaxy S Advance may be the better option for you. This has the same hardware, but doesn't give you the 'S III' look and feel. It is, however, cheaper than the Mini.

Ironically, it's the software that is the weak point of the Microsoft Surface RT, and it feels strange to write that about the world's biggest software company. It may look and feel like Windows 8, the fact that you're limited to only Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote on the desktop, along with the lack of enough (quality) apps in the Windows Store, really works against the Surface RT.

With most smartphones and tablets, they’ll most likely all have a dock that you’ll be able to purchase. Normally, these docks just charge your device and that’s the end of it. For 500 euros Acer gives you a surprisingly complete yet heavy 14-inch laptop with touchscreen. The specifications are impressive, save for one component: 4 GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard disk, a 10-touchpoint screen, and even a dual-band WiFi adaper. It's a very nice combination for Windows 8. The CPU is a Pentium, however.

Today for review I’ve got another phone from Samsung called the Flight II. This phone features a full touch screen with slide out qwerty keyboard. The interface is quick and snappy, it uses sliding panels and widgets to organize things and help you be more productive. The keyboard is one of the best features on the Flight II, the keys are large and spaced far enough apart to make typing easy. One of the problems though is the camera, it just takes horrible fuzzy and washed out pictures.
