In the end there are three reasons to buy the Alcatel One Touch 991D. First of all it's a very affordable smartphone at £120, that's entirely touch operated. The dual-SIM feature is also a unique selling point, with various applications. The third reason to get the One Touch 991D is the excellent battery life.

Just about a year ago we took a look at Lenovo’s Y570 15.6-inch laptop and today we have its successor the Y580. Designed to be an all-around system or even a desktop replacement that can handle HD video, gaming, and other intensive tasks the Y580 features NVIDIA GTX660M graphics, an mSATA solid state drive for fast boot times and application load times, a very fast Intel Core i7-3610QM processor, 8GB of DDR3 and USB 3.0 support. For those who hate the typical dull speakers on laptops Lenovo has outfitted the Y580 with premium JBL speakers with support for Dolby Home Theater v4. Finally just for looks Lenovo has added a backlit keyboard that not only looks cool, but allows you to work at night with ease. Starting at just $849 the Y580 is still very affordable. Is this the laptop for you? Read on as we put it to the test!

The Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 is a nice Windows tablet. It's relatively light at 575 grams, and it has practical features such as a stylus and a full-size USB 2.0 port. We tested a more deluxe version with Windows 8 Pro, 3G and 64 GB of storage, that costs around 885 euros.

There are few things more exciting than reviewing a gaming laptop that you know has a reputation to live up to. Naturally, when the courier dropped off the GT80 Titan I couldn’t wait to get my claws into it. It has a specification list that puts most desktops to shame and has been paraded by MSI for a couple of months now as their latest and greatest flagship gaming laptop, promising nothing but the best for followers of MSIs “Dragon Army”. In preparation for meeting this monster in person, I had a brief look around the MSI website and was impressed to see just how much has been crammed into this machine. There were the usual claims of speed, “ultimate performance” and the likes, but below this was a tech spec list long enough to possibly justify these claims and had me wide-eyed with interest from the off.

Perhaps the hottest tech products in the market today are tablets. It has become a weekly occurrence where we hear about the next latest and greatest tablet, or tablet technology to grace our newsfeeds. The reason is simplicity. Here is a device that is bigger than a smartphone, smaller than a laptop, and brings a convenience and efficiency level somewhere in the middle. Tablets can do a lot more than smartphones, but still do not have the productivity level of a laptop or traditional desktop. Much of this is primarily due to the two dominating mobile operating systems: Android and iOS. Indeed both, and handheld mobile devices in general, are regarded purely as consumption products rather than productivity contraptions.

Gaming away from home is definitely becoming more and more popular, with eSPORTS rising up and consumers living in a mobile lifestyle, and this is a perfect place for a desktop replacement notebook that allows you to play some of the most extreme games on the planet, while on the move.
Generally speaking, if you want to play extreme games like Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light, then you'd be restricted to a fully fledged desktop system with enough power to deal with anything that you throw at it, but this has all changed over the past couple of years. More notebooks are being released that can rival these power hungry systems and still incorporating powerful processing power and extreme GPU performance.
The new notebooks that are hitting the market are making the divide between desktops and notebooks in terms of performance so fine that they are now overlapping by quite a margin with many of today's laptops being produced having far more power than some of their desktop counterparts. Because of this overlap in performance and the number of users who want a compact system to take to gaming events such as iSeries (the UK biggest gaming festival) growing, its more and more common to see people attending these events with desktop replacements as their primary system.
PC Specialist are one of the UKs leading system integrators and since 2002 they have seen multiple awards across many publications for their systems, including the Vanquish X200 Gaming Rig that Peter had a look at a few months ago. The companies dedication towards selecting the best components for each build and the option to customise each and every system they have available with a whole hopst of options means that there are hundreds of ways in which a particular system can be configured. This means that there is with out a doubt a system for every persons needs out there.
