MSI have been consistently releasing some of the finest enthusiast grade hardware in the last year and today we are looking at their competitively priced CX640 15.6 laptop which features a capable Core i5 processor, Nvidia discrete graphics, 500GB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 memory. For under £600 is this an ideal all round machine for gaming and work duties?
The Motorola XOOM boasts a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with each core running at 1 GHz, 10.1-inch widescreen HD display, and ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking. The Motorola Xoom has also gone through a number of software updates and is now running on Android 'Honeycomb' 3.2! Design wise, Samsung have done well by their 9-Series Ultrabook; the system is wrapped in dark cobalt blue aluminum chassis that adopts many of the design elements of an Apple Macbook Air, yet posses the large screen size of a MacBook Pro (albeit with better hardware) and a sticker prices that won't cause heart failure.
The Motorola Xoom is the first real competitor to Apple's wildly popular iPad. Verizon wireless is known as a mobile phone company. So the idea of Verizon offering a netbook with integrated mobile broadband service is unique. The HP's Mini 1151NR is the first netbook offered directly from Verizon. So we decided to take a look. If successful, this will the first of what may be a highly-imitated offering. Verizon is selling the netbook at a subsidized price of USD 199 with a two-year contract for data services. The data services carry a monthly charge of either USD 39 or USD 59. It is very interesting to note that this netbook isn't being sold at Verizon stores, but at stores like Amazon.com.
