Earlier this week Apple did what it's best at: taking the world by storm with its innovations. The setting for the announcement this time was the Worldwide Developers Forum. Apple showed off the new MacBook Pro, in addition to existing versions of the "normal" MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Best new feature: the Retina display with 2880x1800 resolution!

Tablets are great and it seems over the past couple of years they have really caught on. Since most people do 80% of their daily computing tasks in “the browser” tablets are becoming many people’s main computing devices. They are less expensive than laptops, are easier to carry around and just look cool! One of the most common tasks on a tablet is checking and sending e-mail. Writing e-mails on a tablet can be a little annoying. Well our friends over at Geeks.com have sent us Logitech’s Tablet Keyboard that is made for Android 3.0+ devices. This small keyboard gives you the advantage of using a real keyboard with your tablet and even comes with a folding stand.

The LG Optimus L7 and the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus are two very different-looking phones that are built with many of the same components. In terms of looks and features LG is the winner. The L7 has a nicer screen, Android 4.0, NFC and looks better in our opinion. The problem with the LG phone is that the hardware isn't on the same level as its looks. The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus might not be as stylish, lacks ICS and NFC, and has a lower-resolution screen, but in the end that's a better combination than the LG Optimus L7. The entry-level SoC makes more sense here than in the LG phone.

Today we are taking a look at the Samsung 5 Series Ultrabook, offering full-size performance in a pint-sized package. With an 2nd gen. Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB SSD, and a 13.3" screen, wrapped into a 3.25lb package, we'll see if it lives up to the promises.

The IBM ThinkPad has legendary status, and when Lenovo took over production they were keen to take this iconic range into the next century. Equally so, Lenovo were aware that they couldn’t mess with the design too much, especially as the primary focus has always been the business audience. The ThinkPad has always been recognised for the superb keyboard, red ‘pointing stick’ and world class build quality. Today we are looking at the latest ThinkPad X1, entitled ‘Carbon’, a refresh on the original X1 which we reviewed in September last year.

The Xperia S was a good, solid handset which didn't have industry leading specifications but performed well and offered some unique design elements. Sony's follow up is the Xperia T, a device which looks to build on their experience with the S and capture some more of the lucrative Android market.
