If I could pick one brand that made the biggest splash at ThinkComputers this year it would hands down be the Vengeance line of products from Corsair. I started reviewing Corsair non-component products a couple years ago with their speaker line. The transition to their input devices was smooth for me because I was already reviewing so many other input devices from other manufacturers. Every Corsair product I’ve reviewed personally has left a lasting impression on me; So much so that the Corsair Vengeance K90 Illuminated Gaming Keyboard is a product that I’ve been trying to get my hands on all year. On paper the K90 looks quite promising. I always make notion to other things that could be added or subtracted to various products and the K90 looks like it could be the porridge that Goldie Locks picks.
Today I'll be reviewing the SteelSeries 7G - a high end keyboard with a very high end price - around £100. To the average user, £100 for a keyboard seems excessive when you can get an 'el cheapo' one for £10 on the 'Bay, however, enthusiasts and hardcore gamers will know the difference between a £10 mouse and a £50 mouse - let's see if I can see such a distinction between the average budget keyboard I've become used to, and this gaming grade one I've been sent by SteelSeries.
Most companies that produce mouse mats tend to dip into other peripheral fields; the obvious one being the world of gaming rodents; QPad are one such firm. So I feel somewhat privileged today to have the opportunity to play around with their ever popular Sensei range, one of the companies most versatile and successful product ranges that has seen numerous iterations since its release.
