After almost dying out, then re-emerging as boutique items for snobs, mechanical keyboards are experiencing a sudden surge in popularity as people realize the advantages they have in keyboard feel and longevity over the traditional rubber dome or membrane keyboards. After testing mechanical keyboards from Cooler Master, Corsair, Rosewill, and Thermaltake, Benchmark Reviews now has the opportunity to look at a mechanical keyboard from one of the largest keyboard vendors in the world, Logitech. Join me as I explore the features and capabilities of their new Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

Tt eSPORTs (Thermaltake) collaborated with DesignworksUSA, a subsidiary of BMW Group, to create one of these very products. The idea was to take the “standard” Gaming Mouse and put a twist on it like you’ve never seen before. Aesthetically and functionally unique I give the Level 10 M Gaming Mouse. If you aren’t familiar with work done between Thermaltake and DesignworksUSA you should search the original Level 10 case. Most people are familiar with the Level 10 case that was reviewed here at ThinkComputers but let me tell you the inspiration for that case was quite unique, and so was the cost. DesignworksUSA is a company that specializes in thinking outside of the car realm and applying its design application to products that you wouldn’t normally think of. Is the Level 10 M Gaming Mouse of those products that people will revere for more than just its design? Let’s take a look!

During the year if you’ve read the reviews I’ve submitted you’d know that I have a tendency to compare ‘this keyboard’ to ‘that keyboard’ but what would happen if I compared all the keyboards I reviewed in the past year and picked one to conquer all; A straight up prize fight based on all the categories that matter to you, the consumer. This is the first Keyboard of the Year Award ThinkComputers will ever hand out, so who will reign supreme? Let’s take a look!

Ever missed the perfect shot cause your mouse cord got stuck? Are you tired of mousecord drag and pull? Do you constantly bend and move your mouse cord around, but don’t want to compromise and go wireless? Get the Cooler Master CM Storm Skorpion and make your mouse feel like its wireless! Don’t restrict your options to a few tiny wireless mice, use any mouse you want. No added delay, interference issues, higher weight due to batteries, and constant recharging and swapping batteries like actual wireless mice.

The CM Storm Trigger keyboard from Cooler Master can be ordered in four versions, with both Brown, Black, Red or Blue Cherry MX switches and features red LED lighting for all keys. The intensity of the LEDs can be modified straight from the keys without the need to install the software, but we can also choose a “pulsating” mode, or the ability to have only the frequently used keys for gaming lit like WSAD and arrow keys.

Logitech launched a mouse aimed at MMO gamers, combining a keypad with an ergonomic mouse design into a quite unique product, dubbed the G600
Peripherals
The G600 isn’t very attractive as a result of Logitech emphasizing ergonomics and function over aesthetics. I wouldn’t call the Razer Naga attractive either with its own waffle of buttons, or really any other MMO mice such as the Corsair M90 and the Mad Catz M.M.O. 7. The G600 just looks weird, but for all the right reasons...
