Here at Tech-Reviews, we are very familiar with XTracPads’ products after reviewing a variety of their mouse pads. Previously we have rated pads such as the Fat Mat and Micro very highly and are therefore expecting great things from XTracPad’s new products. Let’s see if the newly available Hybrid lives up to our expectations.

The XTracPads HYBRID™ is not a typical mouse surface. This product has been in development for 3 years. What makes the XTracPads HYBRID™ surface so unique is the blend on plastic into the Nanofiber™ surface of this mouse pad. By bonding the plastic to the cloth on a molecular level, we have been able to create one of the most precise mouse pads in the world today.

XTracPad’s latest product has only just been released and is something very exciting which promises to take mouse pads to a whole new level. The product is not really a mouse mat at all but more of a mouse surface that sticks, using an adhesive, directly onto your desk. These surfaces, called the XTracPads Logic, are also ultra thin – roughly half the thickness of a credit card and are available in three colours: pink, black and hex. With the manufacturers, XTracPads, having a great reputation for brilliant mouse pads, I’m sure the Logic surfaces will be no exception and will further enhance their profile. Let’s find out…

I am quite pleassantly suprised by these surfaces, as at first glance, they do look and feel a lot like lino, the type you'd put into your bathroom or toilet. I strangely found them very nice to use with little to no adjustments needed on my mouse, and a nice glide when using my mouse in photo editing as well as hardcore gaming.

The XTracPads Ripper XXL. Whew, what great memories does it bring back -- and how much have we been through together. From my humble beginnings of product reviewing to the glorious present of APH Networks, the transition from my residence in Edmonton to my new home in Calgary, and with every success and failure I have been through, this is one product that remained faithful on my desk since early 2006. But what made me like this mousepad so much is not necessary technological superiority, but rather its sheer ingenuity of being the right size. Of course, one could argue being the "right size" with dimensions measuring in at 914mm x 457mm is a questionable assertion at best. But who says a mousepad has to overlay only the area of what the designers think you will be using? With the XTracPads Ripper XXL covering my entire desk, not only would I not need to worry about running out of room; it practically transformed my plain white IKEA furniture into something that is both visually appealing and fundamentally comfortable. That is nice to hear. So what are we reviewing today again? Good question; thanks for asking -- it just happens to be yet another XTracPads Ripper XXL. So why would we write a review on the same product twice? Let's just say five years later, things have changed, and so has this. As for the rest of your questions, the answers are in the text.

The XtremeMac Tango speaker dock is a 2.1 speaker system offering Bluetooth wireless connectivity and conventional docking methods for iPod, iPhone and iPad. Relatively unheard of in the UK, this product immediately got our attention, does it compare with speakers from Bose and Sennheiser? Time to find out in this XtremeMac Tango TRX review…

Today we will review a very interesting product which is from YUBZ (Why You Busy). YUBZ Talk Mobile is a unique and creative traditional phone heatset but it is designed for mobile phone. The features and purposes for creating such device are to have better sound quality, reduce background noise as well as radiation emitting from the mobile phone.

What's wrong with a mouse? Well, this may sound like a stupid question but in the mice evolution of design, it was created to be used as an input device for all aspects of computing. Unfortunately the mouse wasn’t created specifically for gaming. You could argue that there are many mice out there that have been created just for gaming but lets be frank, they’ve taken a standard mouse design and tweaked it to make it perform better in the gaming category. It’s like taking a Ford Fiesta, improving the engine and aerodynamics by adding a spoiler but then trying to call it an F1 car. To be a true gaming device it has to be built as such from the ground up.

While visiting Zalman at a few trade shows, I was introduced to their new stereoscopic 3d monitor: the Zalman Trimon 22-inch monitor. nVidia has been showing off their own solutions that use any regular monitor, so what makes this monitor different, and why would you want to buy one?

This week I've been sharing my computer time with the rather slick looking, ambidextrous Zowie AM mouse. There seem to be a fair few ambidextrous offerings on the market recently and being a ambidextrous person, the chance to use this mouse was something I've been really looking forward to. Not only because it supports both left and right hand use but also because over the last 12 months I've become quite a fan of Zowie products overall, their headsets, mice and gaming surfaces have yet to disappoint me and now it's time to take a look at how well the AM lives up to the high standards set by other Zowie products here at eTeknix.
