The Simraceway S1 Steering Wheel from SteelSeries is a unique peripheral made for people that do not have enough space in their gaming room to keep a full racing setup. The wheel comes with shift, throttle and brake paddles in the back and enough programmable buttons on the front for delivering a much better experience than using a regular Xbox360 controller. A nice addition is the RPM LEDs, but these will function only if the games also support it (F1 2011, Simraceway). The S1 also supports an optional wheel stand, which hopefully will become available in the near future.

Logitech are now releasing an updated version of their award winning G700, the G700s which vastly changes the chassis material as well as the sensor used. Today we have this new hybrid wired/wireless model on our test bench to review.

While they’ve been part of the PC gaming scene for as long as the genre of play has existed, it’s only in recent years with the growth of competitive gaming that the mechanical keyboards have really begun to get a look in. Yes they’re expensive, yes they tend to be relatively feature free, but they’re fast and they feel great when using them.
With that in mind, it’s time to take a look at another: the Qpad Mk-85. Having looked at the Mk-80 previously with its Cherry Blue switches, I was very much looking forward to what the same sort of design could do when combined with the much more gamer orientated red variant.

As we have discussed in previous articles, the long fought battle between form and function is waging on in a world beginning to be dominated by sleek and stylish portables.

It's not everyday I get an unexpected package turn up on my doorstep, but when it's a brand new product that's just about to hit the market, it's a very pleasant surprise! Now I don't normally spend this much time on mouse pad reviews, but since it is a new product, I'll go into depth a little more than I usually would. Today, the product that I will be reviewing is the Func Surface 1030 XL mouse pad. Now some readers may find this type of product a little dull, but from first impressions this mouse pad is definitely worth having a closer look at.
We've seen many mouse pads hit the market recently, in what seems like a spate of most major brands refreshing their current mouse pad range, but it's not often we see a fairly new brand crop up and release their own. Func is fairly small company with only a select range of mouse pads. From my time as a peripheral reviewer, it is clear to me that having a decent gaming surface is important if you wish to have unimpeded gaming performance.
There are two main types of gaming surfaces available, hard and soft, with the former being made of plastics, metals and sometimes wood, which offer better performance. The latter often have a cloth surface that covers a foam material that tends to be more comfortable, but not as great performance-wise as the hard gaming surfaces. The Func Surface 1030 XL fits into the hard category, as it's made of a rigid plastic. What makes the Func differ from the majority of other gaming surfaces out there, is the fact that it double-sided, with one side being smooth and the other, slightly rough. Here are the full specs from the product page:

The P7P55D EVO motherboard from ASUS I am going to test in this review is not the final design, it has some modifications compared to the retail board but the main features are still there. Let’s take a look at the review and see what ASUS has to offer with this P55 platform motherboard.

It sure would be nice to not listening to music with headphones in a hotel room or through the tinny laptop speakers. Arctic Cooling has a solution to the tinny sound present in many thin portable speakers. The Arctic Sound S111 may not win any awards for the size, but the sound quality is certainly superior.
