The last few years have brought a few small evolutions to input peripherals. Most of these have been driven by demands for better ergonomics, greater functionality and improved performance. Cooler Master's CM Storm division is one of a select few who have risen to meet the demand. The newest addition to their line is a laser gaming mouse called the Inferno. Model SGM-4000-KLLN1-GP debuted at CeBit 2010 and is geared for gaming. Many consider the Inferno to be a reduced cost predecessor of the Sentinel, but with the suite of software features and additional buttons it may prove to be a superior replacement. Read on as Benchmark Reviews evaluates the Inferno against the competition.

Afterwards, we will talk about its software and performance during gameplay and work-related tasks.

Quote: "Right up front I’m going to tell you that I am pretty excited about this mousepad. The CM Storm Control-RX is one of two mousepads that we recently received from Cooler Master. (The other being the Power-RX so look for that review soon). The Control-RX seems to be a gamers dream mousepad but we will have to see. As I have said before in a previous review, I don’t really care about the surface that I use when gaming but after using this mousepad for a week, I think my view has changed. First off the mousepad is HUGE and it is also extremely smooth. I’ve never personally seen anything like it. The Control-RX is geared towards low DPI gamers that need that ability to have precise movement. The smooth Lycra surface gives you zero drag when moving across the surface of the mousepad.
Peripherals
CM Storm are well known for making some fantastic gaming peripherals, especially their gaming mice which in my opinion offer impressive performance and designs that are highly competitive in an already busy sector of the market. eSports and pro gaming are bigger than ever and as as a result more consumers and general gamers are picking up the equipment they see their favourite pros use, which is why CM Storm like to get involved and make sure gamers get the right tools they need to both win and to enjoy their favourite game in comfort and style.
The surface we are looking at today is the CM Storm Control RX and while I hold that there isn’t one mouse mat that is really better than the other given the subjective nature of what one person finds comfortable, or what surface works with a particular mouse and configuration can change wildly from person to person. Yet I have had good experience in using CM Storm surfaces in the past and they’ve always been of a high quality, so I’m hoping to see something similar here today.
