Compared with companies such as Corsair and Enermax, NesteQ is a relatively small company when it comes to PSUs. When I told a few of my friends about this PSU, the majority of them had never even heard on NesteQ. However, for those of us who have been following PC hardware for a while will know that NesteQ is famed for their quiet PSUs and other products aimed at reducing noise from your system. This new PSU is no exception.

In the beginning of this year, FSP launched its 80 Plus Gold power supply series, dubbed Aurum Gold series (which is a redundant name, by the way, since Aurum means "Gold" in Latin; calling something "Gold Gold" makes no sense). With models ranging from 400 W to 700 W, this series surprised everybody with its incredible low price, thanks to the unusual electronic architecture used. FSP is now launching another series based on the same design, featuring a modular cabling system and offered in 550 W, 650 W and 750 W versions. The first version won't be available in North America, but the other two should arrive in the North American market by the end of this month. Let's see if the 750 W model is a good buy.

Corsair certainly seem to have the Midas touch – earning a great reputation with whatever market they decide to target. Their reputation in the power supply sector is already one of the best and today we are looking at the follow up to the original CX430 – the new CX430 V2, created to offer a solid, reliable power supply at the lowest possible price point.

Generally for the average consumer, specific brands are chosen over others; whether it may be due to customer satisfaction, personal experience, external influence, etc. Do you prefer Coke or Pepsi? Canon or Nikon? Cooler Master or Thermaltake? The list goes on. Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains that we tend to enjoy the company of products from manufacturer "A" rather than manufacturer "B" -- and that's quite alright! Of course, the area of computer related hardware is far more malleable than say, your choice of soft drink. What I mean here is that although there are brands that we absolutely adore, we cannot ignore products that are released by another brand that simply blow the community away. Example, you purchase an Intel SSD and you are a proud supporter of Intel (Who wouldn't be). However, here comes OCZ Technology with the release of a new SSD -- in this case let's just say the new highly recommended 1337 imba OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB -- and as an enthusiast, you just cannot ignore the absolute amazing awesomeness of such engineering. Long story short, you get it. Am I implying that I prefer Thermaltake PSU's over Cooler Master and Cooler Master released a new PSU that will blow my mind? No. In this situation, I am looking a little deeper, more specifically towards Cooler Master's GX Series of power supply units. If you are a layman reading this, you probably have no clue as to what I am saying. Let me explain. Although the GX line of power supply units are all from Cooler Master, the new GX 450W is actually manufactured by an entirely OEM than other infamous units of the same product line. So, in a sense, performance of the GX 450W is entirely different than the other PSUs of the series. So what happened under the hood? Read on to find out!

Antec is certainly well known throughout the industry for their quality power supplies at an affordable price. The units that we've taken a look at in the past have proven to be no exception to this and we wanted to take a look at another unit from Antec to see what they had to offer for our readers. Antec kindly responded to our request and sent us over the HCG-620.

Those old enough will remember OCZ as being one of the leaders in the enthusiast memory sector and in recent years they have focused on the Solid State Drive sector, producing many cutting edge products. They took over PC Power & Cooling a few years ago to enhance their company portfolio and have been releasing a solid array of supplies for both the mass market and enthusiast sector. Today we are looking at the latest 650W from the ZT power Supply series which rests right in the middle of their range, between the ModXStream Pro and Fatal1ty Series.

When OCZ bought PC Power & Cooling, the company said that PC Power & Cooling power supplies wouldn't have modular cabling systems. Well, scratch that. The latest release from the brand, the Silencer Mk III, features a modular cabling system and carries the 80 Plus Bronze certification, coming in 400 W, 500 W, and 600 W versions. Let's test the 600 W version and see if it is a good choice.
