Today HardwareHeaven will have a look at Antec's new flagship model in the TruePower Quattro series, the Quattro 1200W. Antec claims that their latest Quattro model offers cutting edge electrical performance while still operating quietly and this unit provides a unique feature, Powercache, which we will look at in detail.
Back in November 2008 we were lucky enough to get our hands on the Antec TruePower Quattro 850 Watt power supply for review. Today however, Antec have kindly sent us the 1000W model of the TruePower Quattro to add to the PSU roundup we’re currently conducting. Let’s see how it performs
The new TruePower (TP) series from Antec is based on a DC-DC converter on the secondary, i.e. it is basically a +12 V power supply with two small power supplies in charging of converting the +12 V output into +5 V and +3,3 V. This is the same concept used on power supplies series like Signature also from Antec, M12D from Seasonic, UCP from Cooler Master and HX (750 W and above) from Corsair. These other models proved to have an above-the-average efficiency. It is important to keep in mind that Antec used to have another series using the same name, but using a completely different internal design. That is why Antec is using the word "New" after the name "True Power".
When building a new PC, it is important not to overlook the importance of a power supply. Without solid, stable power delivery a system can experience hard locks and in worst case scenarios, even component failure. Thankfully the market has no shortage of high quality, cost effective solutions available and today we will be looking at a product from Antec which retails for a modest £85 inc vat.

Their reputation lasted for years due to the excellent reliability and great overall performance of the initial series. Just a few weeks ago (and several years after the first TruePower units were released) Antec introduced the new TruePower series. The new TruePower units are based on an entirely different design and boast superior performance and a lot of new features. Today we will examine and review the TruePower 750W unit, the most powerful unit of Antec's new series.
Antec are one of the industries most respected companies, especially when the topic of quality power supplies is raised. Earlier this year they released the new TruePower series which replaced the older Truepower Trio and NeoPower lines. This new lineup not only brings new technology to market but streamlines the range into a focused, cohesive platform.
Zu den eher seltenen Gästen bei unseren Netzteiltests gehörte bis jetzt sicherlich Antec. Nun haben gleich drei verschiedene Modelle den Weg in die Testabteilung gefunden. Den Anfang macht das True Power 550 (Modell TP550) mit einer Ausgangsleistung von 550W. Innerhalb dieser neu überarbeiteten Serie sind außerdem die Ausgangsleistungen 650W und 750W erhältlich.
